Mary-Kate had never been to Athens. As she wandered the city, her eyes admired the complex architecture that littered the city, a mesh of Ancient Greek and modern styles. She couldn't help but chuckle. The builder had probably been a half sibling of hers. After all, her mother was the patron of the city. The Parthenon was dedicated to her. The beauty of the city, and a sense of belonging almost overtook Mary-Kate before she remembered Chiron's words.
"The wrist guards are in the National Archaeological Museum"", the centaur had told them, "You must sneak in and steal them, then come right back here and deliver them to your mother personally.". The old centaur hadn't even mentioned the "final test" they were sure to encounter, or the "If the four a victory glean" line. Specifically the "If" part. It didn't seem as if the gods were too certain the demigods would come back from their quest. Would they get caught trying to steal the wrist guards? Would their final test be breaking out of jail? How could breaking out of jail be a victory?
These thoughts and more buzzed through Mary-Kate's mind as she stuck her clenched hands into her pockets, a thoughtful frown on her face. Her eyebrows furrowed together as they usually did when she was thinking hard. Her gray eyes were moody and churning, the same color as storm clouds. Her shoulders were tensed. She was obviously plotting. Plotting a heist.
And praying to the gods they wouldn't get caught. Mary-Kate didn't believe that the museum guards would believe she was trying to retrieve her mothers property. Mortals could be so blind. No. They had to sneak in and out, undetected. That was the plan. It was simple. Sneak in. Sneak out. Surely mortal security couldn't be that great in Athens.
Then again, the city was named for her mother, the goddess of wisdom. Nicole's words echoed in her head, "Never underestimate your enemy."
Mary-Kate sighed irritably and turned her moody gray eyes on the group. "We need to do research.", she stated bluntly. She needed to do research and figure out what kind of defenses protected Athena's wrist guards.
"Stupid mortals", Mary-Kate thought angrily, "They probably think the wrist bands are a statue or something. I can see the caption now. "We believe these were the first earliest handcuffs, used on gladiators before they were brought to fight in the Colosseum." Stupid mortals. Gladiators and the Colosseum were both Roman, but they would find some way to make it match.

Saber.
Saber's amber eyes were wide, and glowing with excitement.
Not too long ago, he, Ari, Mary-Kate, and Riley had left Camp Half-Blood, flying first-class in a plane. It was the best. Thing. Ever. The young demi-god felt a thrill at lift off, watching the city disappear so quickly below. He ordered plenty of food and soda, while enjoying himself, watching movies on the screen. That. Was. The. LIFE. The landing was pretty amazing too, and now, here they were- GREECE! Saber had never, EVER been another country in his life. It. Was. Awesome.
The amber-eyed boy gazed around in awe, like a young child at Christmas, examining his many presents. He was very distracted by the sites, not really paying attention to what was going on. "This. Is. GREAT!" He cheered. The smell of Greek food caught his nose, and a huge grin was on his face. FOOD! But he was distracted by a voice.
"Wha?" He turned to the short blonde haired girl. By now, he was- slowly but surely- starting to notice the difference between the twins. And there was definitely a difference between them today.
But he noticed a similarity between him and her.
Smiling, he placed his hand on her shoulder. "Look Mary-Kate! We match!" Saber pointed out cheerfully, with a slightly amused expression on his face.
Riley.
Athens.
It was a beautiful place, with many and wonderful things. It kind of felt like home here. Well, of course it would. It was her mother's city, for gods' sake! Nonetheless, it really was spectacular. The buildings looked perfect, and everything was grand. Even the food smelled nice.
Riley nodded to her sister's comment, mumbling a soft "Yeah..." as she went on to thinking. But her thoughts were interrupted almost instantaneously as Saber made a comment to Mary-Kate. Riley stared at them for a moment, smiled, and laughed, rolling her eyes. "Oh wow Saber!" She said, shaking her head.

For Ari, the flight was relatively uneventful, although the events leading up to it had their own share of activity. After her late night meeting with Saber, the girl had returned to her own room only to be kept awake by the endless din of thunder that encompassed her room from Daddy Dearest. At long last, the blonde child had been embraced by sleep only to be snatched from it's loving tendrils mere hours later, not by the sunlight that would be streaming in through the windows (since her cabin had none), but Evangelos, her own personal alarm clock, pecked at her face with his yellow, uncaring beak until she swatted the bird away from her. But being the typical teenager, she returned to bed, and the cycle continued on until finally, it ended with her chasing the blasted bird around the room.
Awake enough to appreciate the sunrise that was beginning to peek over camp, Ari made her way out of her cabin to send Evangelos out the door, asking him to peek into the Athena and Dionysus cabins to see if Mary-Kate, Riley, and Saber had already begun preparing. The daughter of Zeus hated to be late generally, and if she was late for this quest... Shuddering, the slender girl made her way back inside to her cabin for a quick shower, knowing that the plane ride would be long and hard, with the four teenagers crammed into the small plane. She knew that she was in the doghouse with Mary-Kate and Riley as it was, and didn't think that they'd be thrilled with this latest let-down.
Only a few minutes later saw her stepping out of the shower, toweling herself off quickly before changing into her typical jeans, gladiator sandals, and a black tank top just as Evangelos flew in through the open door. They're just waking up now, Duchess! He crowed before perching on the statue of her father that largely dominated the room. Making sure to step away from anything that would be disturbed, the girl called the winds to rid her hair of the remaining moisture, the thin, long strands flapping in the brief, intense bouts of wind. Grinning slightly to herself, she found her short sword and placed it on her side, before picking up and donning her army jacket once more. To complete the outfit was a brown messenger bag, with yellow accents and a single yellow lightning bolt embroidered down the front of it. Ari'd packed the essentials when she'd returned from her late night excursion - pajamas, toothbrush, iPod, and the like, and so was out the door in record time.
Of course, her first stop had to be the armory. Not quickly forgetting the tongue-lashing and ear-boxing she'd received the night before, Ari examined the meager collection of shields before choosing a metal one, plain on the front with only a single raised section made totally of metal, and attached that to the front of her bag before sprinting the rest of the way to the Nurses' Station. Surprisingly, the gash on her arm hadn't miraculously closed up overnight, and upon arriving, helped herself to a collection of bandages and wraps that she placed into her bag, along with a few other medical supplies for the trip. Since they weren't being accompanied by a child of Apollo (save for the possibility of Saber, but that looked unlikely), the kids embarking on the quest didn't have the luxury of a healer on their team, and would have to do things the old fashioned way until returning to camp.
Wrapping her arm as she walked (Evangelos held the jacket for her), it didn't take long for the Daughter of Zeus to arrive at the Big House, where Mary-Kate and Riley were already waiting, raring to go. Taking the airplane ticket that Chiron handed her, along with his good wishes for the Quest, Saber brought of the rear only moments after, finally allowing the party of four to leave. Pocketing the ticket and the money that each child was given, Ari gave a quick, awkward embrace to her eagle friend (much to his protests) before hopping on the bus with the others, the bird circling around the house as his good-bye.
Hiding her distress at being without her familiar, Ari remained quiet on the trip to the airport, ignoring Saber's chattiness and Riley's temper in favor of watching the world flit past her window. Of course, the trip took no time at all, and the kids arrived at the airport a good hour before their flight left. While touring the grand expanse of an American airport, it was tempting to spend all of their money before they'd even left. Running on fumes herself, Ari gave into the temptation and bought a chocolate chip muffin, accompanied with a five-hour energy drink for the ride. Stomach satisfied and energy buzzing, it was all that she could do to keep herself together to get through security before the boarded. Of course, the bulky shield and sword had issues getting through, which led to much screaming on Ari's end of things. "What do you mean, I can't go through! My father's the darned Lord of the Sky for Tartarus' sake!!" There would've been more, of course, if Mary-Kate hadn't drawn her attention to the strange looks that she was getting from the guards and the people behind her.
She was loathe to say it, but Saber came to her rescue on attempt two to get the weapons through, perfecting his mind-muddling trick to get them to allow the items through, which she later concealed in her bag for the flight. It was uneventful for the first hour on the plane (the take-off being the highlight), and she had just settled into watching some kind of television program before it happened. The energy drink that she'd consumed was racing through her veins, wreaking havoc in her mind and nerves until the energy became so great that the twitching started.
Of course, being a DemiGod with lightning powers meant that one couldn't just twitch normally - with the twitch, of course, came static zaps, slightly larger than the standard ones that people received on a daily basis, but full of punch all the same. Ari only noticed this element, however, when Riley poked her to gain her attention on something happening on her own screen, only to yelp at the shock she was giving off. This went on for a good half hour before Ari was banished to the other side of her chair, leaning as far away from the group as possible, the only signs that something was happening was a subtle electric blue light rippling through her skin and making her hair stand up every few minutes.
The shocks and twitches lasted, you guessed it, a grueling five hours of which many passengers (mortals included) were subjected to random zaps along with angry campers, before the drink finally wore off and left her system be. But it took all the remaining energy with her, leaving a drained DemiGod to doze on Riley's shoulder for the remainder of the flight. But once they'd landed everything was worth it - they'd arrived in Athens, Greece.
The city itself had been named for the twins' mother, but even Ari felt at ease here, in a place where her Godly side could relate to the architecture, the feel, the land... Keeping a smile plastered on her face as she trailed behind the twins (Saber kept running off to and fro with seemingly no logic), she stepped forward to Mary-Kate's open side before tilting her head in consideration. "You guys know I'm not good with the logistics." She said, trailing off to stare at Saber and his new revelation. Grinning shrewdly, she turned her gaze once to the boy and then Mary-Kate, before shrugging. "Well, would you look at that."
Returning back to the situation at hand, Ari's idea literally struck her suddenly, as she hummed to herself, light grey eyes wondering just if it could possibly work. "I could try disabling some of the electric security systems by zapping them... we'd just need to get to the control panel, which is a problem." She mused, hand placed on her hip as she was absorbed in her thoughts. "Any idea on how to get there?"

Mary-Kate was in the middle of wondering about all the different security systems the museum could have, when she heard her name being said by the curly black headed boy darting energetically about. She zoned into the conversation long enough to hear his exclaims of pure excitment and her gray eyes got wide. She looked down at the Camp Half-Blood T-Shirt and jeans she was wearing, to the Camp Half-Blood TShit and jeans Saber was wearing. She rolled her eyes at her sisters as they commented and mumbled, "Remind me to change as soon as I can". With that she gave Saber a smack over the back of the head. "As unfortunate as that IS, we have bigger problems than people thinking you and I are associated with eachother", the daughter of Athena stated calmly. Her grey eyes focused on her sister. "That could work", she said, "But electricity is very umpredictable. But you're right about the control panel. We need to find out where that is. Hence the research. We need to go to the museum at some point and get an idea of the floorplan. If I get this right, we should be in and out quicker than you can blink." With that, the blonde headed girl crossed her arms and focused her eyes on the horizon. The colors of the dawn, in all their shades of pink, orange and red, reflected themselved back in the plotting teenager's eyes. Everything had to be perfect. Everything.
((Sorry it's not long guys!))

Saber and Riley.
Saber winced at the unexpected pain in the back of his head. “Ow!” He hissed, turning to glare at her. “What was that for?!” The boy sounded slightly hurt, though really annoyed. “You should consider yourself lucky to be matching with me. Hmph.” He crossed his arms and turned away, when suddenly he remembered food. “Hey, can we get something? I’m starving!” The teenager started heading towards the smell, when he was pulled back by Riley. “No. Bad.” She scolded lightly. “I’m hungry too. Food later, important stuff now.” “No. Food NOW, important stuff later.” “No. IMPORTANT STUFF NOW, FOOD LATER, SABER.” “Come on! We need energy to do illegal stuff for a goddess!” “We have ADHD. We have plenty of energy. Now shut up and obey.” “Shut up and obey? That sounds weird.” “OBEY.” The two were glaring into each other’s eyes unblinking, seemingly like a staring contest. They kept at it for maybe a minute, when Saber blinked. Riley smirked, saying “Ha,” and she turned back to her sisters. “Well. Let’s just go in and look for a door that says ‘Control Panel’ or ‘Staff Only’. Then we sneak in. If we get caught, Saber’ll just mess with their mind. Then we can kill the control panel. Or something like that.” “Food…” “SABER SHUT UP YOU’RE MAKING ME HUNGRIER!”

Wincing at the audible smack that could be heard against Saber's head, Ari rolled her eyes and listened to the bantering with a tired mask on her face. Folding her arms, she turned around to face the building behind them, a remark dying on her tongue. As much as she and Saber had become tentative friends in the past day or so, Ari simply didn't have the energy to try and break the squabbling up. After all, she wasn't the leader of this quest - Mary-Kate and Riley were. Usually she took a stance of gentle authority in the group, but it simply wasn't her place to do so now. Besides, her sisters were more than capable of handling the quest themselves.
Turning back around once she heard the subject of electricity return, Ari gave a lopsided grin to Mary-Kate, before opening her mouth. "True, electricity is usually unpredictable, but not when you control it. From what I understand about electricity, although it's true that I usually work with lightning, too much in a single circuit will cause everything to short-circuit. To be, that seems the best way to get in. It doesn't leave any forensic evidence, and seems fairly reliable. Once we take it out, it should be out until someone fixes it."
Continuing on her discussion with Mary-Kate with only a side look to Riley and Saber's squabble, the daughter of Zeus did her best to forget her own growling stomach, shifting her arms until they rested on her narrow hips. Pursing her lips, one could almost see the gears shifting in her head, the plan taking form admittedly slower than her Athenian friends. As a Daughter of Zeus, she wasn't as clever as children of Athena were, and sometimes it showed more than others, this being one of those cases. She was smart enough to get by on her own, of course, but she respected her sisters as being smarter than she was by a long run.
Still ignoring the bickering happening beside her, Ari let out a sigh before continuing on. "If need be, I can get us into a control room, once we know where it is, so we don't leave footprints. But if we're planning on zapping the controls, that won't leave me with enough energy to get us out the same way, I don't think." Typically the DemiGod hated talking about her own weaknesses, frequently pretending they didn't exist, but recent experiences had left her with a gash on her arm with a stronger lesson that was sticking with her. Besides, she trusted most parties here enough to be mostly comfortable with telling them this. "In the end, I think we should get a plan together before we do anything... including food. I'm hungry too, but we're here for Athena, not for sight-seeing and enjoying ourselves."

Mary-Kate rolled her eyes at her sister and Saber. She heard them bickering and completley tuned them out. She caught bits and pieces of the conversation, and they only reminded the golden headed teenager of how hungry she was. She concentrated on a plan for getting in and out of the building without being noticed and decided that if the fight turned physical, Ari would intervene. When Ari mentioned food, Mary-Kate turned her gaze to her and nodded. "We're not here to have fun, but we DO need food. We'll go get food soon. Then to the library. We should see if they have any books on the museum so that we won't be completley blind. I like the zapping idea, but wouldn't they have a backup generator? You're right though. We can't leave any forensic evidence, believe me. Maybe I could find the backup generator and disarm it so it won't work. Then you could zap it and it and the security systems would go off too. And everyone would think it was a freak storm or something. Who knows with mortals?". Mary-Kate wasn't entirely sure that the mortals' minds could create a weather system, but maybe the gods would help them, or the Mist would be strong. She turned to Riley and Saber. "Cut it out. Both of you. We're going to go get food, then we're going to the library.". The teenger's tone was cold and demanding, a tone she rarely took unless necessary. It was a definate personality switch from when Saber had met her and the ADHD part of Mary-Kate's brain wondered how the boy would take it.

Saber and Riley.
"YES! HAHA! I WIN!" Saber cheered enthusiatically, sticking his tongue out at Riley. She gave him a death glare in return. "Yeah yeah, whatever." Her foot tapped the ground irritatedly. "MARY-KATE! YOU'RE THE BEST!" He rushed over and tackled her in an enormous hug. "So where are we gonna' eat? Huh? Huh?! Because something smells GOOOOOODD!" Riley shook her head. "You're annoying." She hissed, still glaring at the boy. She turned in the direction of the smell of the food. "I'm assuming we're either going thataway," she pointed, "or we'll look around." "I ASKED MARY-KATE, NOT YOU!" The girl tapped her foot more, trying to keep her temper down. This boy and his comments were NOT helping. "Ooooo-kay. What. Ever." Saber rolled his eyes, looking please with his arms still around Mary-Kate.

Blinking in surprise, Ari'd figured that Mary-Kate would insist on planning first, and then food, but she wasn't complaining in the slightest. The young DemiGods wouldn't be able to do anything well without the energy in their systems, let alone break into a museum, steal artifacts, and get out of there just as inconspicuously. Listening to her sister plan further, the girl's hand moved absently to the bandage she wore under her sleeve, feeling it gingerly to see how it was healing. Wincing subtly as she felt the pain ripple through her nerves, Ari was at least relieved to feel that it wasn't wet, therefore not bleeding anymore. Of course, with such an injury, infection was risky - and in fact likely - so she'd need to keep an eye on her wound before letting the infection run it's course for too long.
"I'm not thinking the library is the best place to start. I'm sure that tourist stands will have some maps and brochures. Then again, a historical library might have some floor plans..." Trailing off her thought, Ari considered briefly the idea of a backup generator as well, before jubilantly replying, "Well, we can blast that too!" Letting the joy subside, she knew that there were greater problems, which would no doubt be highlighted by Mary-Kate, before gritting her teeth in annoyance. "I'm sure the Mist will do something. Besides, with electricity it's easy to just have it look like it shorted out."
Quickly jumping to the side to avoid the repercussions from the tackle, Ari winced, all too ready for the high-tempered results that would arise from the encounter. Truth be told, she was expecting Riley to unleash all hell on the boy, and was surprised when she didn't. The situation only seemed to be escalating, but Ari had decided that her energy was better spent actually looking to see where the scent of food was coming from. She'd only gone a few steps before Saber's outcry reached her ears, but she didn't turn back, taking a few more steps towards the restaurant. Finally turning back after a few moments, she sorely missed Evangelos' presence - he'd easily be able to scout out where the scent was coming from. Grimacing, she resumed her place beside Riley, giving her a look of sympathy before diverting her gaze to Mary-Kate, the one holding the authority in this instant.

Mary-Kate was beginning to look around for a place to eat when Saber tackled her. Her gray eyes got wide, and a blush started to appear on her cheeks. "Yeah, I know I'm the best. Let me go?", she pleaded. Stood there stiffly as Saber kept his arms around her and argued with her twin. She squeaked in protest. She shook her head and tried to focus on the plan. "Yeah, library. Floor plans. Did I not already explain that?", she offered. She swollow a lump in her throat, uncomfortable with the small distance between her and Saber. She hissed. "If you don't let me go, we won't be able to go eat!", she reminded him, "And I'll be forced to use my knife on you". Her tone was so calm, one might've thought she was merely asking how his day had went. She met his amber eyes with her gray ones, cold and demanding. It a threatening look that meant she was serious about using her knife if he didn't release her.

Saber's eyes met hers, but they were a total opposite- warm and bright. He didn't think she was serious about the knife, though he did catch a bit of threat in her tone. "I want food!" He whined, letting go of her. "There. That better? Now where's our food?!" "Stop complaining!" "Stop complaining!" "Yo, when we go to eat, we're not getting you anything. That's it." "I have no problem with taking food off your plate!" "I have no problem with putting my sword to your throat!" Saber shook his head, turning to Mary-Kate with an adorable look. "Your sister's being meeeeaaaannn. I'm getting food, riiiiiiight?" Now, Riley was fuming, but she couldn't help but giggle slightly at what Saber just did. She shook her head as well. "You're so dumb..." The girl muttered, amused. "What was that?!" "I didn't say anything! It was Ari!" She replied, smiling playfully at the blond next to her.

Amused at the blush that was rapidly swimming across Mary-Kate's features, Ari was only momentarily distracted from the task at hand before turning her mind back to the plotting they had to do. Admittedly, she was getting a little tired of the squabbling between the twins and Saber, despite having a relatively confrontational God as a father. Letting out a not-so-subtle sigh to the three of them, Ari waited until Saber had detached himself from Mary-Kate before shifting her weight onto the opposite foot, counting down the seconds until the next bout of pandemonium started.
And she didn't have to wait long. Fuming so much that one could almost see the smoke coming from her ears and nostrils, she felt her temper burning up as the barrage on her ears continued. Letting out a low growl to the group, she doubted it was heard through the din of the argument, but it still felt good to let out. Defused quickly by Saber's change of tactics, Ari ran a hand through her mane of blond hair, not focusing on what was happening until her name was brought up. Eyes widening slightly, she cast a look first to Riley, and then Saber, confusion causing her eyebrow to rise suspiciously. "Hm? What'd I do now?"

Mary-Kate shook her head in amusment at Ari's befuddled response. "You didn't do anything. That's exactly the point, actually", she said, turning to Riley and raising her eyebrows. She glared at Saber. "Yeah you're getting food, but not until you be quiet. I'm not taking YOU into a restaurant. You'd be so embarrassing. I don't have a problem putting my dagger at your throat, either. If I were you, I'd behave". Her gray eyes glinted link mortal steel, and her eyebrows were raised in a challenging manner, daring him to say something. The blonde teenager turned to Ari. "So. Food? We'll leave these two jokers here." A playful smirk slid across her face as she waited for Ari's response and Riley and Saber's protests. Naturally, she'd never leave them out of a meal, but it was her futile attempt to get the two to stop bickering for a minute so she could think

"I'll be quiet!" He said, crossing his arms and smirking. "I got this! No problem!" He stuck his tongue out at Riley, who gave him a dirty look and stuck her tongue right back at him. Saber felt a wave of triumph somehow, and stood in silence, turning to Mary-Kate. Yeah! Look at me! I'm quiet! Food now? He said in his mind, though it wasn't like she could hear him. The boys stomach growled, not too loudly, but it was a bit audible. A slight blush appeared on his face, embarrassed in case anyone heard. I'm hungry... when are we going to eat?! I mean come on! What are we waiting for?! The temptation to shout it all out was nipping at his brain, but he resisted. It was necessary, for otherwise, his chances of seeing- or, heck, EATING- a meal were slim. I can't believe him. He's so annoying. He thinks he's all that. Riley was just mentally shaking her head in disgust. I assume street boys are like that. But STILL. You'd think he'd have more patience for food or something, considering how long he'd have to go without it. Ugh. However, her attention was shifted to the topic of her being left behind. Particularly with Saber. "No. NONONONO SIS! YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME WITH THIS MORON! BESIDES, I NEED FOOD! FOOD! YOU CAN'T LET YOUR POOR, HELPLESS TWIN STARVE! SHE'S NEEDS TO BE FED!" At the corner of her eye, she noticed Saber opening his mouth, probably about to protest to being called a moron. A smirk was apparent on Riley's face. This is going to be good. That idiot cannot keep his mouth shut. Alas, to her dismay... he closed his mouth, glaring at her. WHAT?! But I was so sure he would... ugh. Not faaaaaaaaiirr. That'll show you! Saber thought as he'd found the strength to not say anything. Bet you thought you could get me to say something, huh? HAHAHA! Loser! Fail! You think you're so smart, Miss-Daughter-Of-Athena-Lady, but you're really not that smart, now, are you? HAHAHA! Saber one, Riley nothing! Woo-hoo!

Decidedly confused at what was going on, Ari shrugged at Mary-Kate's bailing her out, before she turned back to Saber and Riley, eyebrows raised as the stakes grew higher. Not until they were quiet? Crestfallen, she was about to turn back to Mary-Kate, bringing up the topic of how they'd be stuck here till high noon before they were quiet, before the girl herself voiced her thinking. Smiling wider than a cheshire cat with all the mischief of Hermes, Ari nodded, shifting her messenger bag on her shoulder. "That sounds great to me!" Folding her arms, she stepped closer to Mary-Kate while angling her body so she could see the reactions out of the corner of her eyes.
"What about the restaurant we saw on the way here? That looked like it was open. Then again, maybe we don't want them to be able to find us..." Awaiting Kate-Kat's response, the silence that stretched before them was only interrupted by Saber's growling stomach, to which she turned to him with a raised eyebrow. "What, do you have a Minotaur in there? It's certainly growling loud enough." Facing Mary-Kate once more, Ari slid her arm over her honorary sister before starting to walk in a random direction, only getting a step before Riley's protests cascaded over her.
Turning back to face Riley, the panic was slightly amusing to her ears, Ari knowing that Riley would've seized the opportunity to slide an insult to Saber. Grinning with a mischievous glint in her clear grey eyes, Ari folded her arms back over her chest, a joyful tone coming from her mouth. "You deserve to be fed now, huh? What exactly makes you worthy of food?" She teased, nudging Riley with her elbow lightly so the girl knew of her innocent intentions.
