Mary-Kate listened to her sister's yelling with an amused grin. "You're not going anywhere until you be quiet and a good girl like Saber." The blonde threw her twinkling gray gaze at Saber and hoped to the gods he was intelligent enough to realize she had just called him a girl.
She threw her arm over Ari's shoulder and met her gaze with a mischievous grin equal to any child of Hermes. "I don't think they'd care. I'm sure kids come in and out of there all the time without parental supervision.". Actually, they probably didn't, but at the time it didn't seem to matter much. "Hopefully they'll have no reason to come looking for us. They'll assume it was an adult, not three kids. After all, why would WE want an item of the gods?". The blonde teenager rolled her eyes as if she couldn't believe the extent of mortal's idiocy. [/sup]

Saber's face grew a little redder, and he opened his mouth again. Must. Be. Quiet. He could see Riley looking excited again. Oh no you don't! His mouth was shut instantly. Riley rolled her eyes. "I'm the daughter of a goddess, duh. Of cerse I deserve food. I am worthy of food, and food of worthy of me. And that is life." It had been a serious tone, as if she was teaching a life lesson. The demi-god nodded, smiling, and turned to her twin. The smile grew. "Oh, sure. No problem. I'll be a good little girl." A look of innocence took over, the only thing that gave it away was the evil look she was giving Saber. "I-" Shoot! Saber had opened his mouth, letting out a bit of noise, but he had managed to stop himself. The boy was glaring daggers at the two twins. Riley was giggling, and as she was, Saber took out his kunai and put near her throat, not touching it. He moved it as if he was cutting it, and he deepened his glare, putting his kunai back. Riley giggled some more, not saying a word. You think you're so tough and scary, Saber! You gotta' chill!

Smirking at her sister's abuse of Riley and Saber, Ari couldn't help but notice that it was directly in times like these that she treasured what she truly was - a DemiGod - only for the reason that she had other friends to me a DemiGod with, and perhaps interact with them in the same way that normal people interacted with each other. Yes, as Ari grew up she had many siblings around to play with, but the closest to her age was Elliot Junior, the youngest, and even he wasn't terribly interesting. At school, Ari'd had some friends, but not many. Just enough to feel guilty about attracting terrible things to their school. So she'd moved around, as many DemiGods had, but only schools - her family was already well established in the area, and her parents were part of the police force. When they couldn't find out why Ari was being attacked so frequently, it was time to split.
But her story was mild compared to some. Ari'd heard tales of DemiGods being forced out of their own country to come here, suffering losses of siblings and parents. Unable to keep a shudder from slipping down her spine, the child of Zeus thanked her father, ironically, for keeping her safe from harm up until this point. However, what did it mean for four DemiGods prowling around Athens? Even though two of their party was protected by the city itself, being dedicated to their mother, the scent of DemiGods that know their true identity was much stronger, even if they weren't claimed. And a child of the Big Three; Zeus, in fact?
Head reeling, Ari was beginning to wonder if she would be the downfall of this quest. Suddenly her happy feeling left her through her stomach, and she wasn't paying attention to what was going on around her. Thanks to the ADHD that kept her mind aware, she could hear Mary-Kate's voice talking to her, and feel her arm around her shoulders, but paid it no mind, too absorbed in her fatalistic mindset to respond accordingly. She loved the people on this quest (well, loving Saber was a bit of a stretch, but Ari would want to keep him around only to annoy Mary-Kate and Riley), and the knowledge that she could be their downfall churned her stomach to what felt like a pulp.
Re-entering the world of awareness, she only just became aware of the clouds that had circled overhead, a light charcoal colour in hue. Blinking once or twice to rid herself of the worry, the clouds lightened but stuck overhead, a visible metaphor for the weight on her mind. However, Ari's entrance into awareness caught Saber directly in the act, unfortunately for him. Extending one hand to tap Saber's shoulders with two fingers, the lightning child sent a moderate static shock through his body, giving him a stern glare as it went. "Hey, now. We need all of you back alive, you hear? Nothing in the prophecy says "One shall be slain by a stupid hand", so let's tone it down, shall we?"

Mary-Kate gave an irritated eyeroll at Riley and Saber. "Neither of you are going ANYWHERE until you can stop talking. That DOES include you Riley." The teenager focused her piercing gray gaze on her sister. Then looked back at Ari with a nod. "Yeah. We don't need any sudden deaths here. Infact.." the daughter of wisdom held out her hands, "Both of you give me your weapons now." That was about the time Ari reached forward and gave Saber a static shock. It was something the twins has experienced many times, particularly when they would get in quarrels with eachother.
The blonde met both Riley and Saber's gazes, eyebrows raised and hands outstretched. "You do not want me to be forced to take those away from you", she said calmly. Her stomach was starting to growl ferociously and with hunger came irritability. They didn't have all the time in the world to stand around and annoy eachother! The clouds were starting to swirl above their heads, a sure sign Ari was getting irritated with the two as well. [/sup]

An electric pulse suddenly surged through his body. "GAH!!!!!!!!" He screamed. From all sides, mortals looked at him, curious about what was going on. Saber glared at Ari. "WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA, HUH?! THAT'S NOT FAIR!!!!!" Mary-Kate once more mentioned for them to be quiet. How could he be quiet if everyone was bothering him?! Ari had just freaking zapped him! As Mary-Kate asked for he kunai, he stubbornly put it out of her reach. No. Suddenly, however, it was gone. What?! Riley had taken the weapon from Saber, and placed it in Mary-Kate's hand. Reluctantly, she put her own weapon- or, MetroCard, as that was it's current form- into her other hand. She gave her a look, saying Really? My weapon? I haven't even done anything yet. The girl wanted nothing more than to talk, but she remain silent, with a force, obedient calmness, even. Food now?

Nodding, Ari appeared as the muscle behind Mary-Kate's authority, the static that she'd conducted through Saber's body still rattled around her skin, a light blue light crackling down her shoulders to her fingertips. Grinning, she tilted her head towards Saber, a glint in her eye. "It's fair when you use what you have. I could argue it's not fair to use a kunai, but all the same.." She trailed off, watching Riley take the sword from his hand and gave it to her sister. "Thanks, Ri." She said, looking back towards Saber. "And that's nothing compared to a full bolt."
Straightening her posture once more, Ari laced her hands together and stretched her arms out, letting out a high-pitched yawn before settling once more. "Well, Kate-Kat, these guys seem like they're behaving pretty well, don't you think? What do you say we talk this out - and our plan - over a nice burger or something?"

Mary-Kate gave an appreciative nod at her sister before taking both their weapons. Saber's kunai reminded her of her own knife, and she couldn't resist twirling it around her hand for a minute before stashing it in her drawstring backpack. She put Riley's metrocard in her pocket and watched the two be quiet.
Her eyes glittered close to silver as she turned to Ari with a nod. "Yeah, I suppose they deserve a burger now. Lets go!". With that, she turned back to Riley and Saber eyebrows raised. "Be good. Don't make me hold your hands as we walk down the street."
She turned her head with a flick of her blonde curls and nodded at Ari. "Lets go! I'm starving!", the teenager said. [/sup]

BurgerburgerburgerBURGER! Thoughts of burgers buzzed through Riley's mind as she followed excitedly. I wonder what Greek burgers taste like. Burgerburgerbugerbuger... Saber echoed her thoughts, except maybe the 'burgerburgerburger' part. I bet they're not as good as American burgers! But I'm sure they're still pretty good! He inched ahead of Riley, and went to walk beside Mary-Kate. He would have gone next to Ari, but he was still mad about her electrocuting him. So, he smiled down at Mary-Kate, still being quiet.

Watching Mary-Kate twirl the knife around in her hand, Ari noticed, as she was certain that Mary-Kate did, that the two weapons were very similar. Smiling, she bit back a remark that brought this to light, and maybe there were other similarities (including feelings for each other), but Ari decided that now was not the time. "Yeah, I'm pretty hungry too." She chimed in, giving Saber a smile. It was a small apology for zapping him, but nothing voiced. Putting a knife - even in jest - to either of her sisters' throats was significant cause for zapping - if it had been most other people, it'd be a much more severe zap.
As the group began to move, Ari watched her friends zip ahead of her, and quickly stepped up the pace herself. Using the wind to propel herself forward, she took a few steps beside Saber before looking up at him, squinting against the sun. Quickly summoning a few clouds to remedy this, she spoke in a hushed tone to him, to try and avoid the attention of others. "Sorry for zapping you, but threatening them is not okay. Same goes for people threatening you now. You hear what I'm saying?" Hoping he got the message that he was now in her 'protect' circle, she let the wind die down, causing Saber's longer legs to carry him further ahead of Ari before she walked beside Riley once more, grinning. "D'you think they put Tzatziki on their burgers? I've heard it's a pretty good sauce around here."

Mary-Kate looked up at Saber as he walked beside her and gave a playful eye roll and a returning smile, probably per friendliest gesture toward the boy on the trip thus far. She pretended not to listen as Ari approached and whispered to Saber, but she tried to catch as much information as possible. After all, knowledge was power. Being aware of changing relationships was something Mary-Kate was never very good with. As Ari fell back to talk to Riley, Mary-Kate looked up at Saber. What was it about this boy that made Ari so willing to adopt them into their circle? As the child of Athena studied the boy, a spark of curiosity lit in her eyes alongside a spark of something else...admiration? Respect?
The blonde demigod trained her eyes on the ground as she attempted to figure out this complex problem. The gears turned in her mind, but nothing became of it. She shook her head, sending her blonde curls waving in the wind for a moment. Somethings could never be understood.
Mary-Kate looked up at Saber again, sensing the awkward silence between them. She struggled to find a topic the two of them could both join in on. "So..", she began weakly, "You use the kunai, huh? Nice weapon. It's similar to the dagger. You're going to have a lot of training ahead of you if you're going to learn how to use it effectively. It's a weapon you have to train for years to master. The shorter the weapon, the less range you have. But if you're good at using it, it's generally a very flexible weapon. If you're fighting in close quarters, a sword won't do you any good. A dagger, however, can easily be moved in close quarters. Understand?", she asked curiously. She looked him in the eye, her gray gaze meeting his amber one. "You need to learn to use your weapon effectively. Otherwise, you'll probably die." Her tone was serious and blunt. This was the truth, like it or not. There was no reason to sugarcoat it. Neither Nicole nor Ari had ever sugar coated anything for her, and she wasn't going to start trying to make things seem less dangerous than they were. They were demigods. It was a dangerous occupation. [/sup]

Saber was happy at the friendly cute little gesture of Mary-Kate, and he ruffled her hair affectionately. His gaze distrustingly went to Ari now though, and he listened to her words. He released a sigh, but, assuming she was sorry, forgave her now. His attention returned to Mary-Kate now, in their little awkward silence. "Kunais are awesome," he said. "And yeah. I know all that. I've been using it to fight monsters most of my life." Saber became slightly uneasy at the mention of death, but he wasn't entirely afraid to die. He knew the life of a demi-god- and a hero. The black-haired boy had already accepted this previously, but death still wasn't an appealing subject. "I won't die. I know how to fight." Riley shrugged at the question, but didn't answer. She was still in her 'silent mode'. Now it was time for Riley's personal sign language. She pointed to herself, then thought for a moment. She tried her best to write 'want' in the air with her finger, then she drew the shape of a ketchup bottle, and pointed to something red. She had a huge grin, this was amusing.

Turning her attention to her friend when the silence lapsed, Ari no longer watched where she was stepping, instead summoning some winds to have her fly two inches above the ground (enough to avoid any pitfalls, but also enough for the Mist to cloak her flight) as she trained her silver gaze on the movements. Tilting her head, her gaze narrowed in confusion before she understood what was going on. Letting out a sigh, she placed her arms on her hips before speaking. "So, we're playing charades again?" She said with a smile. "Okay, here goes nothing - but you know I suck at this."
The first word was easy enough, Riley using the standard gesture for one's self. "Alright, so the first word is "I"..." After that, however, the movement were lost on her. "Ugh... was one of those thingamabobbers a 'w'?" She asked, eyes following the hand up and down and around before following the finger to something red. "Okay, so what I got was you, 'w', and something red. Do you want to get something red?" Looking back around the city to try and get some ideas, her eyes lighted on a restaurant that looked fairly empty, with a patio that looked out onto the street. "Hey guys, how does this look?" Ari called to the rest of the group, the winds propelling her into the turn before she dropped back to earth, walking the rest of the way before asking the mortal out front, "Hey - how much room do you have? Table for four, outside, alone by any chance?" Despite giving the mortal cause to be suspicious, that was better than having some meddlesome grown-ups hear about their plan to rob the museum. Something told her that the Mist wouldn't help her much on that one.

Mary-Kate glared playfully as Saber ruffled her hair. Then he answered her question about the weapons and she nodded. "The whole idea of fighting monsters is to sneak up on them and be the attacker, not the one being attacked. Predator, not prey. It's a harsh way to live, but if we don't kill them, they kill us. We can't afford to take any risks with them living, especially not with the Titans and their army mounting..."Her eyes darkened to storm cloud gray and were filled with troubles.
Flashbacks were occurring in her mind, of Nicole's last few days. She shook her head, desperately trying to rid her head of the depressing thoughts. She looked up at Saber with a weak smile. "I hope you don't.", she said, "We can't afford to loose anymore demigods."
The blonde looked up to see Ari asking them for a table for four, preferably alone, and she immediately understood the importance of being alone. People hearing them talking about robbing the museum could be very bad. She quickly went to stand by Ari, hands in pockets. The blonde looked back at Saber with a questioning gaze, and words weren't needed. She was inviting the boy to stand on the other side of her. It was a small and subtle gesture, yes, but a gesture not granted to most people.

Riley nodded, satisfied the Ari had gotten an idea of what she wanted. Ketchup, Ari! I want Ketchup! The mortal nodded. "We have a table that may suit you. Follow me." Riley followed, and, when the mortal wasn't looking, picked up a bottle of ketchup. She proceeded to point at it, and smiled. KETCHUP!~ Saber felt a bit sad as Mary-Kate left his side, and his gaze followed her. Amazingly, though, she wanted him to stand by her- or so it seemed. He hesitated for a moment, unsure, but then just went over to her. The demi-god gave her a reassuring smile. "I won't die. You're going to have me around to bother you for a long time." He said, then poked her side affectionately. A playful light danced in his eyes, but they darkened, remembering something she has said about Titans. "Wait... Titans who? What're they doing?"

Attention perking once Titans were mentioned, Ari's arm found it's way around Mary-Kate quickly before breaking in. "And we stop here. Kate-Kat, that's privileged to Head Counselors only. Sorry Saber, but unless you become one, we can't tell you any more. Nothing personal, but they're Chiron's orders." Following the mortal that directed them to a table, Ari didn't notice Riley's gesture until the ketchup bottle rose and then she nodded in understanding. "Ah..." she murmured, grinning at her friend as they went. Finally reaching a table that was perfect for them, the daughter of Zeus sat down, indicating her friends to do the same. "Let's order drinks and then we'll begin, alright?" Ordering a coke for Mary-Kate and root beer for herself, she gestured for Saber and Riley to order.
