"I won't die." He said softly. "I'll kill everyone else, though! We'll all be fine! We're all really strong, NOTHING can beat the four of us!" Saber ruffled her blonde hair affectionately. He followed her all the way to the museum. It didn't take that long, maybe half an hour. The boy grinned at her. "Let's go get that map!" He energetically ran ahead, not bothering to wait for her. His eyes wandered along the place. Maps, maps, maps... where would a place like this have maps... The teenager's eyes finally rested on a stand full of brochures. "Aha!" He snatched one of them, and ran back to Mary-Kate. "Mission accomplished!" Saber handed her the map. "Now can we go back? I'm starving... no, I've BEEN starving. Since before that monster even attacked. And there's so much FOOD..."

Mary-Kate led the way to the museum, and watched the boy grab a map and hand it to her. She gave him a wink and a thumbs up. "Mission accomplished!", she said with a nod.
She nodded. "Food!", she agreed with a laugh. "I'm starving too! I wonder if Riley and Ari ordered for us...". She gave a smile and another laugh. It felt really good to laugh after all the stress she'd been under latley. "You're such a dork!", she claimed.
She began to walk back to the restaurant with him. The blonde teenager look over at him with her piercing gray eyes. "You know what? You're not so bad when you're not being annoying", she said with a smile. [/sup]

"Shut up! You're a dork!" Saber countered playfully. He had a huge smile at her complement. "Really...?" He asked, happy that finally, maybe... someone was accepting him. Besides Ari. She accepted him. Or seemed to have, at least. The restaurant was now not far off in the distance. "Hold that though." Saber ran ahead again, really fast, until he was back at the table. "SO SO! DID YOU GET MY FOOD?!" Riley pointed at the burger. "Yeah." "YES!" He was about to pick it up, when he noticed another burger. "... why does Mary-Kate have a burger too." "Because I said so." She said, nomming on a chicken finger. They glared at each other silently for about a minute, then Saber stole one of her chicken fingers and bit it. She smacked his hand really hard, and stared at the food distastefully, debating for a moment. "Might as well give it back to me now." Saber commented. "Yeah. No. It's mine." And with that, she ate it right in front of him, grinning triumphantly. "Hah."

Mary-Kate raced after the boy into the restaurant. She spotted her hamburger and immediatley picked it up and started eating it.
Then she realized that Saber had a hamburger too. "You're halarious", she told Riley dryly.
She watched the scene between Saber and Riley with rasied eyebrows and a small smirk. She sat down in her chair and looked at Riley. "Anyway, what'd we miss?", she asked. [/sup]

"Oh you know you love me!" Riley giggled. "You didn't miss much. We just ordered food. And I drew. 'Tis all." She was still doodling, the eye had now turned into a detailed wolf, with a snarl. "That's pretty good." Saber commented, impressed. "Meh." She looked up. "So what happened to your arm? You have my sister's shirt." "I know that." "Yep." The girl had a mischievous grin. "Sooooo...?" The boy bit into his burger. "So. What happened?" "I just fought a monster. No biggie." The boy went on to brag about how big and ferocious it was, and how he handled it with no problem. Riley rolled her eyes. "Riiiight. You probably just tripped or something." "But it's TRUE!" "Kay." She giggled and went back to her drawing.

Mary-Kate gave a grin as she sat and ate her cheeseburger and watched the scene play out in front of her. She looked at Riley. "Nah, he really did fight a monster. I came up after he defeated it. He had monster dust all over him. It gave him a piece of one of my SPARE shirts.".
The blonde took a drink of her Coke and watched the spectical from a distance. Maybe she could get used to these two constantly fighting it out. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to add a guy into their little group. It wouldn't kill any of them, for sure. [/sup]

Riley blinked. "Really." She commented. Not that she didn't believe it, it just seemed unlikely. Especially the way Saber told the tale. He made it sound like he was facing a Titan or something. One monster really wasn't a big of deal, when one thought about what they were soon to face. The demi-god shrugged. "Yeah. One of your spare shirts. So what? It's still one of your shirts!" The girl had a smug expression, and continued nibbling on her chicken fingers. "So," she said, after swallowing. "You got the map, si? 'Cause I wanna' see." "Well maybe you don't deserve to see." "Well maybe you should shut up." "Well maybe you should shut up." Riley's eyes went dark, her the edges of her fingernails tapping irritable against the table. "Well maybe I won't shut up." "Well maybe I won't shut up, either." Saber didn't appear to angry at this point, in fact, he seemed to be enjoying the girl's fury. Suddenly, Riley's anger started fading, plagued by suspicion instead. "Saber..." She started. "... you aren't doing any of that silly mind-messing thing right now, are you?" She was being slightly paranoid. She didn't like the idea of the boy controlling her emotions. Saber looked confused. "Uhm, no." He answered, as if he really didn't expect the question. "Why would you think that?" "I dunno'..." She trailed off quietly. "You just seem so... I dunno'. You just seem like you're making me mad on purpose." "Well, yeah. I am. It's fun!" The teenager snickered. "But I'm not like messing with your emotions or anything. Just naturally annoying you." "Naturally?" "Naturally." Riley thought it over for a moment or two, sighed, and went back to her drawing. However, she hadn't gotten far when she looked up. "I still want that map, you know." "Yeah. I know." He had already finished most of his cheeseburger, though he still appeared to be hungry. "So...?" "You're not getting it." The girl smiled. "Okay. No problem." She just sat there, smirking at him, appearing to be without a care in the world. ... this was freaking him out a bit. "Why are you staring at me like that?" This wasn't any normal look she was giving him. This was a look that creeped many people out, mortals, demi-gods, satyrs, whomever. She had no clue why is intimidated them so, and it was just a natural occurrence for her, that look. Riley shrugged, still smiling. "I dunno'." Saber was quiet, staring back at her, then narrowed his eyes. "If you don't stop, I really will mess-" He was cut short as she snatched his burger. "HEY!" The gray-eyed girl kept it out of his reached. "Give me the map, and you can have the burger. Don't give me the map, and well... I am still hungry." Without hesitation, Saber snatched her chicken fingers... Or tried to, anyway. She has suspected him to do such, and made sure to keep the meal away from him. She laughed amusedly, and watch him give her a defeated look. "Oh come on! That's not fair!" "That's not fair! Aww, widdle Sabwer mwust be swo sad, he gwot his hambwurger taken away! Oh NOES!!!" Saber gave her a dirty look, and she continued to mock him.

Mary-Kate watched her sister and Saber fight with an irritated look on her face. She completley lost it when Riley started mocking Saber while holding his food away from him. Her face turned a shade of red that would've made any of Apollo's sacred cows jealous, and her eyes were like steel. "RILEY! GIVE SABER HIS HAMBURGER BACK AND YOU TWO JUST SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP!"
The blonde girl's hands were quivering from rage and she hissed in a dangerously low voice, "If you two don't learn to get along in the next five seconds, you will become the shishkabob to my knife. Are we clear?!" The girl's natural face color came back and she sat down in her seat, watching the two with her intelligent gray eyes. [/sup]

Riley glared at her twin. "HE STARTED IT!" She said, pointing at the boy. "HE EVEN ADMITTED HE WAS MAKING ME MAD ON PURPOSE! WHY SHOULD I GIVE HIM BACK HIS HAMBURGER?!" Riley was absolutely furious now, she'd kept the anger in too long and now she had exploded. It seemed that now she'd probably cause a huge scene- heck, there was no telling what she'd do. Saber watched the two nervously, and figured that now may be an appropriate time to use his abilities. He eyed Riley cautiously, focusing on her, putting all his mind-power towards calming her. The teenager was becoming unusually calm, which brought her attention to Saber, flaring her anger back up. "YOU! STOP IT! NOBODY ASKED YOU TO TRY AND CALM ME DOWN!" She could feel him, working on the inside while being on the outside. Her mood was changing rapidly, from severe rage to gentle calmness every few seconds, and it was making her dizzy. "SABER! LEAVE ME ALONE!" He wasn't listening, of course. Riley's anger was hard to bring down. The boy had to focus more and more, ignoring her snapping. He could feel his energy draining. Geez, this girl has temper problems... He didn't come towards such a case very often, and it was a challenge when he did come across one. Saber narrowed his eyes, his nails clawing the table. Riley sighed softly, her fury was weakening, and she settled down, giving Saber a light glare. "I hate you. Don't mess with my emotions." The boy hadn't entirely succeeded in dowsing her anger, but he had made her much calmer. "Here's your stupid burger." She placed it on his plate. "Now leave me alone." The blonde went back to drawing. "Riley-" "Don't talk to me. Please." Saber sighed, then finished the rest of his burger. He was feeling really weak now from that experience. He put his head down on the table, and watched Riley draw for a few minutes. "Riley, I'm sorry." No response. "Riley?" She didn't look up. "Yeah, it's fine. Just don't talk to me, please. I want to be left alone." He could feel the darkness radiating off of her, and he could tell that if it were up to her, she'd be hiding somewhere, all curled up and on her own. Saber wanted to try and cheer her up- maybe with a little mind-messing- but she'd know, and probably be even more mad at him. The boy turned to Mary-Kate, and whispered, "So, how do I get her to stop being mad at me?" Riley didn't want to be here. At all. Heck, she didn't even want to be drawing. It looked terrible, absolutely terrible. She scribbled it away in disgust, and put her head down. Why do I have to get yelled at?! It was his fault! He's so stupid and he doesn't listen! I didn't even DO anything! I just want to get AWAY from here! She might have sighed, but didn't. She was afraid if she made another sound, she might start crying. Stupid anger. You're not supposed to cry when you're angry. You're supposed to kill things and scream like a mad woman. Stupid confused anger, you don't know your place as an emotion.

Mary-Kate gave a stubborn glare at her pouting sister. "Oh stop it already. You took his burger. That wasn't neccesary. Don't feed me any lies about how he deserved it. You /both/ were provoking" her voice was clear and calm, though daggers were beaming from her eyes at both of them. Her temper was rising, but she was fighting it off for the moment. "If you both don't stop fighting, you will stay here while Ari and I go and retrieve Athena's wristguards", she stated calmly, "And then you can explain to Chiron why you guys couldn't work together. You're both being absolutley ridiculous. I'm so sick of this "He started it!" "She started it!" junk you both are feeding me. It's absolutley psychotic.
The blonde girl crossed her arms and glared harshly at Saber and Riley. "Now if you need to go to the bathroom and cry it out, go ahead, but I will /not/ have EITHER of you jeapordizing this mission!" Her tone was far more cruel than either of the two people in front of her were used to, but she wasn't going to admit the real reason she was being a perfectionist.
If she couldn't get through this Quest, there was no way she'd be leading another one. Mary-Kate didn't have self-esteem problems, but after Nicole died on the last Quest Mary-Kate had been on, it had taken a lot just to get used to the idea of leading a Quest. Now that she was here, nothing was going to jeapordize any chance she had of being successful, even if it did kill her to be a little bit rough with Riley.
That's what Nicole getting killed had done. Mary-Kate had always been a little bit over-caucious and a perfectionist, but since Nicole had died, Mary-Kate had taken both to an extreme. She tried not to show it, since it was only really prominent on Quests, but the teenager was becoming obsessed. Every move she practiced in the Arena had to be perfect, of she'd redo it. During Capture the Flag, she had the have the winning team with the superior operations. Somewhere along the way, these obsessions had turned to fun, but now that Mary-Kate was on an actual Quest, she was beginning to worry things wouldn't go over as effortlessly as they did during practice. Mary-Kate wouldn't hesitate to leave Riley and Saber out of the operation if they couldn't get along. It was going to be hard enough not to get caught by the mortal police without the two of them bickering the entire time. [/sup]

"He. Was. Messing. With. My. Emotions." Riley growled through clenched teeth. "I was only trying to help..." Riley didn't bother answering him. She took a deep breath, and closed her eyes, trying to forget everything that just happened. Saber sat there awkwardly, then smiled. "Riley," Her foot tapped the floor agitatedly. "If you want, we could have a practice battle and you could take it out on me." The tapping stopped. It was barely noticeable, but there was definitely a bit of a hint of a smile forming on her face. "Saber. I don't want to kill you. I'm very upset right now and I can chop your head off." "Wanna' prove it?" "Please Saber. I really don't want to kill you." "Bet you can't!" "Please Saber. Let's not." "What if Mary-Cutie here says yes?" Riley giggled. "HAH! I made you laugh." "If she says yes, sure." The boy turned to "Mary-Cutie" with excited eyes, ready for battle. "So. Mary-Cutie. Can your sister and I have a practice battle? Pleeeeeeaaasseeee?" The girl was calmer now. Laughter was generally the cure for any negative emotion. Generally. What she needed was a distraction from that emotion, and he had distracted her. Chances are, she'd be thinking straight. She wouldn't need to kill him now, but she still wasn't one for practice battles. Personally, she enjoyed Pokemon battles.

Mary-Kate could feel the familiar rush of blood to her cheeks as Saber called her by his favorite new nickname for her. She gave a playful roll of the eyes and a nod. "Sure", she said with a smile that lit up her whole face, "As long as you two get along afterwards. Though I'm terribly disappointed I don't get the chance to kill you myself, but hey. What can ya do?"
The blonde was relieved that her sister and Saber were getting along for the time being. It would help their mission greatly when the two learned to get along. They both brought very good skills sets to the group, and Mary-Kate really didn't want to have to waste those skills.
Yes, Riley and Saber getting along would help the team greatly. Not that Mary-Kate wouldn't have left them both behind if there was a chance they would've jeopardizing the mission. It just helped that she was no longer going to have to make them stay. She eyed her twin and Saber with an "Are you going to go now?" glance and waited patiently for the two to leave the table and go practice battle.
Mary-Kate couldn't help but feel a little disappointment in the fact she wouldn't be joining this particular fight. Her skills could've used a little tuning up for whatever was going to lie ahead. She kept quiet though. She didn't want anything to ruin the moment Saber and Riley were having. Even though she knew she was disappointed that she couldn't participate in the fight, she felt like there was something more to her disappointment she couldn't place. Jealousy? No, that couldn't be right...
A befuddled Mary-Kate sat in her chair, zoned out in confusion for a moment before refocusing on the group. She gave a smile at Saber and Riley and said, "Well what are you waiting for? Go beat the chizz out of eachother!", her tone was lighthearted and playful though she was still trying to shake the internal feelings of disappointment that were still there for an unknown reason.

Saber jumped out of his seat. "ALL RIGHT!" He shouted, all his lost energy from before seeping back into his cells. "COME ON RILEY! YOU'RE SO GETTING OWNED! I'M GOING TO GET YOU FOR DRAINING ME EARLIER!" "AND WHO'S FAULT WAS THAT?!" Her eyes darkened ever so slightly. "YOURS, OBVIOUSLY!" He ran out of the restaurant, and Riley followed. He led her to a deserted area, where he took out his kunai, looking around for her with a smirk. ... but she was nowhere to be seen. "Riley?" He questioned, lowering his weapon. "Riley, where are you?" He looked around for her. "Riley... Ri-" An arm seized him, a sword to his throat. "Any last words, punk?" She hissed into his ears, voice as evil and venomous as a snake. Saber stood motionless for a moment, then jabbed her in the stomach with his elbow, then shoved her off. "HEY! THAT WASN'T-" He was literally cut off by her sword, it shimmering ebony blade slashing at him mercilessly. "I DIDN'T EVEN SAY START RILEY! STOP IT!" "In a real battle, Saber, no one has to say start. You always have to be ready, smart one." "Yeah, but this is PRACTICE!" "Well I don't CARE!" She slammed her sword through his shirt, pinning the boy the wall. She ripped the kunai out of his grasp, and put it to his throat as he struggled. "Any last words?" The demi-god's eyes were sinister, but... playful. The other demi-god didn't answer. She giggled, and pulled the kunai away. "I think we know who our winner is." "SHUT UP!" Saber was attempting to unpin himself from the wall. Riley rolled her eyes. "Stop it, I'll let you out." She said with amusement, pulling the sword out. "Here." She gave him back his kunai. Giving him a triumphant smile, she assumed the practice was over, and started heading back. ... but Saber wasn't done yet. The black-haired boy slashed at her arm, unintentionally cutting it slightly. Riley jumped, shocked as the unexpected pain. She winced, and gave him a deadly glare. "SABER!" "I'M SORRY! I DIDN'T MEAN IT! I MEAN I DID, BUT DIDN'T WANT TO ACTUALLY HURT YOU!" Her eyes were still playful despite the glare, and she slashed out her MetroCard. "SURE, SABER, SURE!" The weapon aimed for him again, and it met his kunai. He dodged more fluidly now, he was more prepared this time. "Good," She purred. "At least you're not being dumb now!" Saber appeared more accomplished. The two fought for some time, moments where it seemed Riley would be the victor, and other moments where it seemed Saber would win. However, after all the slashing and dodging, poking and jabbing, minor scratches and drips of blood, Riley had him pinned down. "I win." Saber didn't want to admit it, but he knew this was the case. "Hmph." "Even though you lost, you're not bad. I gotta' say that." She said with a friendly, honest smile. "Really...?" "Yeppers! I had my doubts, but I'm impressed! Good job! She complemented. "Now when I let you go... no more fighting. Got it?" He didn't answer, the light for a fight was still dancing in his eyes. "Got it?" "Yeah, yeah, I got it." He sighed reluctantly. "Good." The blonde let him up, her weapon returning to it's state as a bus pass. "Now. High five." She raised her hand in the air. He eyed it with distrust, as if it was a trick, but he smiled after a second and high fived her. "Good Saber!" She smiled, sighing tiredly after the battle. "We shouldn't have too many problems with our mission, should we?" "Pfft! You won't have ANY problems! I'm the reason your mission will work out perfectly!" "Right!" She giggled. Saber was joyful. It seemed now that everyone was starting to accept him. First Ari, then Mary-Kate, now Riley. He seemed to have... friends now. Things appeared to be getting better. This mission wasn't going to fail. It'd be perfect.

Mary-Kate followed the two teenagers and watched them with a smirk on her face. They fought for a few minutes and a slight pang of jealousy entered Mary-Kate's stomach. She shook it off and smiled as she stood in the shadows where no one could see her. Her blonde hair melted into the shadows, and she remained motionless. Saber wouldn't have any idea, but Mary-Kate was getting an idea of his fighting style.
The daughter of Athena was beginning to be able to predict how Saber would react to Riley's jabs when the fighting came to a friendly end. The strategist in Mary-Kate was delighted the two were getting along. That would help their mission sufficiently. It was so strange for the two to actually be getting along, and Mary-Kate guessed she wasn't used to it. That familiar pang of jealousy- or something- was in her stomach. She shook it off immediatley.
With a michivious grin, the blonde snuck up behind Saber, knife at the ready, with the stealth that would've impressed international spies. With the quickness of a cat, the girl reached around Saber's neck and put the knife at his throat and whispered in his ear. "Lesson Number One. Never assume a fight is over. Especially when the enemy has a twin!" [/sup]

Annoyance took over at once. "RI-!" He stopped himself. Riley doesn't have a dagger... He smiled. "Well, hello there, Mary-Cutie!" He spoke charmingly. Saber put his hands over her arms, gently trying to get her off. "Sup?" Riley giggled. "I think SOMEONE has a crush on my sister..." "Well you two are pretty cute." Her giggling ceased, and she stopped, her face turning a light shade of pink. Well, of course, if he likes Mary-Kate he might have some interest in me... She gave him a light glare. "Stick to my sister, please." Saber rolled his eyes. "I said you two were cute. Doesn't mean that I like you both, or that I like either of you at all." In all honesty, he thought all three of the girls were really pretty. Seriously, there were tons of stunning girls at camp- especially at the Aphrodite cabin, wow!- but he'd gotten stuck with three really good-looking girls. And they were his friends. He couldn't tell which he was feeling closest too yet, but he wondered if he'd ever have a real relationship with any one of them. As in... more than a friend. Probably not Riley though. She was annoying. Sure, she seemed nicer now, but... He supposed it was something only the gods knew, and left it alone. "Anyways, Mary-Ka-yew-tee, wanna' let go now?" He said, his voice returning to it's irresistible charm.
