Shrugging, Ari secretly agreed with Saber, hoping that maybe there would be a shield that could help conduct - or at least not hinder - lightning, but at the same time her expectations were slim. "I hope so. I remember the very first time I tried conducting lightning - I must've been about eleven or twelve at the time, and the bolt I succeeded in conjuring ricocheted off of my shield and hit me in the chest." Rubbing her chest where it had hit, she gave a wistful grin, remembering when she had been new to her DemiGod status, rebellious and unbelieving that she was a child of the King of the Gods.
"Besides, they're large and cumbersome. Not very aerodynamic, and they're heavy. But I'm just complaning." Finally finished her shield rant, she turned back towards the idea of her father, Zeus, giving her a shield. That would mean more to her than she would ever want to enunciate, certainly not in front of someone she didn't know all that well. So she kept that idea close to her breast, a flame that had awoken and lit her desire to do well by her father - make him proud. And maybe, a shield could be a token of the pride he had for her? She'd have to see.
Turning her focus back to the idea of stowing with the luggage, she let out a soft hissing sigh as she leaned back against the wooden bench, cutting into her bony spine. "It does sound appealing, snooping in people's personal belongings..." Ari trailed off, not an ounce of insincerity in her voice. "Well duh, I know we're not normal. But I've heard that first class is very comfortable." Rolling her shoulders, she shrugged, thinking of how they could escape this problem. "Well, we're DemiGods, right? Money shouldn't be a problem... We'll just ask Chiron..."
