How were they claimed?: Back when Ari was 13, she still hadn't been claimed despite every other camper of her age being claimed. Although it was hard for her, she remained patient until the opportunity presented itself. And that opportunity came in by the name of invasion. A group of Clazmonian Sows had been sent by Ares, the God of War, who had been angered that one of his children hadn't been chosen for a recent quest. As soon as Ari heard the news, she and Elliot took off to defeat the Sows before they reached the Mist. Of course, the entire event was complicated by the fact that a busload of newly discovered DemiGods were slated to make their way to the camp. Grabbing one of the training swords in the camp, the eagle and girl managed to slay one of the trio before the bus arrived, much to the horror of those inside. Luckily Chirion managed to convince the bus driver to loop around the border until the pigs were dealt with. Praying to her unknown father to help her in the battle, at first her pleas went unheard. It wasn't until she had been dropped from a great height by one of the pigs that Zeus claimed her, allowing the girl to manipulate the wind around her to mimic flight. Polishing off the pigs became easy once they were on an even plane. After her victory, she wore the lightning bolt above her head for a full day, even when there was no one around in her new Zeus cabin.
Cabin Number: 1
Mortal Parent: Olivia Benson
Years At Camp: 8
All Year Round or Just Summers?: All-Year Round
Siblings: Hokay, this is complicated. Her mother, Olivia, is married to Elliot Stabler, but since Elliot had children from his previous marriage, they're her step-siblings. Olivia does not have any children. Siblings from Zeus: None as of yet. Siblings from Olivia: None. Step-Siblings from Elliot: Maureen, Kathleen, Richard, Elizabeth, Elliot Junior. (None are really important though)
Description: Hardly the image you should get from the child of the King of the Greek Gods, Ari is, well... a little on the puny side. Fully grown at five foot, she's well accostomed to shopping in the Kids or Junior section at any store. But since she can be seen wearing the standard orange Camp Half-Blood t-shirt with skinny jeans that are a little too long for her. She likes going barefoot for the most part (it helps when conducting electricity), with the exception of black legwarmers she typically wears. But when she has to wear shoes, they're typically gladiator sandals with only a hint of a high heel. While relaxing, she trades in the jeans for a pair of extremely baggy, thin grey sweatpants. In the rare case that she's outside of the camp and wants to blend in without advertising her heritage, she'll wear her jeans, sandals, and a black tank top with an army-coloured jacket that reaches down to her waist. Her build is quite small and thin, despite her muscular father, but that doesn't mean that she's without the typical strength of any child of the Big Three. It just comes as a surprise to her enemies. With long, blonde hair that reaches halfway down her back, it's nearly the colour of the electricity she controls. Despite behind thin and docile for the most part, while controlling electricity it becomes static-y and flies around her head much like a halo. Ari has storm grey eyes that change based on the weather (or does the weather change based on her eye colour changing, which is in turn dependen on her mood???), with a clear, happy silver for a good mood and a stormy almost-charcoal in an absolute fury. In all, Ari is a short, thin child with blond hair and grey eyes that hides her strength and personality behind a mask of cute delicacy.
In addition, she has an eagle companion that she met when she was home from camp at 11 years old. A bald eagle by the name of Evangelos (nicknames vary from Ev to Gelo depending on her age), he is six years old and loyal to Ari. He can understand human speech and take messages to the Gods. If not seen on her shoulder, he'll be there shortly. He always knows where she is and can find her no matter how far the distance.
Her powers include the typical DemiGod powers - ADHD, dyslexia, along with the strength attributed with children of the Big Three. However, seeing as she is a senior camper with time to develop her powers, she has fully realized her powers as a child of Zeus, which include conducting electricity (it gets harder to do so as her focus wavers - usually from emotion), which she usually does using her sword, although she has gotten better with just using her body, along with flight (as she controls the winds), and can control the winds to the extent that other objects can fly too. She can't lift anything heavier than three of her friends at once, however, so lifting a giant is out of the question. He might get a good hair dry though. Ari is also exceptional with her short sword, but hopeless with any other weapon (save for the bow and arrow, which she is decent at). Also, she can control the weather to some extent - usually can control the cloudiness of a small area, such as half of Camp Half-Blood.
Personality: Being a child of Zeus, one would expect her to be a bit hot-headed, but fortunately those traits are more obvious in children of Ares. Instead, Ari has the level-headedness typically smiled upon in leaders, and patience to rival a saints. However, the one thing she cannot stand is injustice, no matter on what kind of scale. This can prove to be annoying to her friends, who have found it easier to hide any injustices from her than to be subject to the obsessive rampage she's consumed by.
However, even her fatal flaw isn't the only thing can make this generally sunny disposition become stormy. Insulting her friends or the camp will make her temper change like lightning, and usually means that the insulter will be on the receiving edge of an eloquent tongue-lashing. Rarely does she resort to violence, and only if the crime is fitting of the punishment, or if it's an even fight. Honorable in the way that she won't take an unfair fight (on her end, but is always happy to fight someone more experienced than her), and she'll defend the undergod, but it's hard to get her angry otherwise, since she's gifted at seeing many sides of issues, unless they involve righting a wrong, justice, etc. In that case, she's rather black and white.
Not one to let herself become carried away with her emotions, she's gifted at keeping a level head in most high-risk situations, and considers herself too rational for love. However, this gives her a reputation of being wound a little too tightly, and nearly incapable of having fun. But to those who know her will know that she's always up for some harmless fun, as long as it's just. Not one to compromise her morals for nearly anything, if a situation brings two morals into conflict she is unable to reconcile the two and will do whatever it takes to remove herself from the situation. Overall, Ari is level-headed, with a consuming sense of right and wrong, but quick to anger if her friends or family, involving her heritage and the camp, is brought into question.
History: As with anyone's history, it begins with her parents. Both detectives in New York City, they worked together as partners for close to fifteen years before they became romantically involved. At Ari's birth, Elliot's children were already old (the youngest being 2 and the oldest in her near twenties), and Olivia had already had the affair with Zeus. However, Olivia had been raising the girl on her own for three years before becoming involved with Elliot. After the divorce from Elliot's first wife, he gained dual custody where the four children (Maureen is already living on her own) came over to the house Olivia and Elliot shared with Ari during the week. She wasn't particularly close to any of her step-siblings, given that she had to hide her less-than-human heritage while they were around.
But it wasn't until Ari was 4 that Olivia knew her child had been given Zeus' abilities. It was a typical Saturday that the family took off work, despite their workaholic natures, and the three went to their playground that they usually frequented. It wasn't until the parents noticed that Ari was running her fingers along the metal fence instead of usually playing on the slide as she usually did that they grew concerned; But it wasn't until they noticed that she was laughing as her hair flew around due to the increased static that they grew very concerned. Of course, she wouldn't fully realize her potential until much later, when she was claimed by Zeus.
But the drama would come much, much earlier, even before she knew her own parentage. When Ari was eight years old, a group of Sirens invaded during a school assembly. Of course, Ari had already been getting into trouble at school because of her ADHD and dyslexia, and trouble seemed to be following her no matter where she went. Now, of course, attacking the school choir seemed to be going a bit far. Chaos ensued, with the Sirens flying at the young DemiGod, nearly hypnotizing her until one of them was tackled by her teacher, who could see through the Mist and notice the odd effect it had on his student. Afterwards, she picked up a pole used for pole vaulting up until this point and managed to fend off the remaining group before they began to sing again. Running from the school as fast as she could, she returned home only to find her unsympathetic parents not believing the truth that she was only too happy to tell. Of course, the screaming match was helped by the arrival of a Satyr to verify her story. This latest addition to the story only trying their patiences further, Olivia and Elliot were all too happy to let Ari go to this "Half-Blood Camp" for a few weeks to see what it was like.
Once she returned from what was the best experience of her life, Elliot and Olivia were a lot more willing to talk about exactly what Zeus' impact was on their lives. With the Satyr accompanying her, they took the train back to her New York home to talk about long-term ideas. It didn't take long for all three of them to decide that it would be better all around for Ari to stay at Camp Half-Blood year around. Not just because of her status as a Big Three that made her more susceptible to monster attacks, but since for the first time, she was having a good time at "school" and really learning about her true heritage. She's been at Camp Half-Blood for eight and a half years to this date. Seeing as she's the only Zeus camper, she's head counselor.

"At the exact time that her partner was released from the iron grips of fitful sleep, Morgan Brooks was stuck making one of the hardest decisions of her life. Sweat pricked at the back of her neck, the liquid dripping down her back and staining the light shirt she wore. Fans whirred uselessly around her, trying in vain to cool the woman down to no avail. Her eyebrows were knitted in the centre of her forehead, dark lines of worry creasing her marred face. The source of the problem was simple; the outcome, however, was not. It was the choice between two good things, one that could never seem to outweigh the other; A Hazelnut Cappuccino or a Caramel Frrppacino sat in front of her, the brown liquid glaring at the woman who was hopelessly torn in two.
Brooks herself had only woken up a few minutes before she'd headed out, the bittersweet aroma of coffee drawing her to the nearby shop. Sure, the cups always tasted better with company, but you'd be hard pressed to hear her say it. Besides, the woman was trapped within the desire for her favorite beverage, a desire so steep she couldn't say no. Convenience was her first thought, explaining the already-full cup of coffee she had left behind, but her muscles still trembled, no doubt from the previous night's aftermath, and the hazelnut flavoring (the first she could reach) ended up tumbling into the unsuspecting mug, the victim of an unintentional crime. So the lady left the mug there, steam still flowing and all, and abandoned it for a cup that could be made just right, with no fault of her own. The night had caused nothing memorable but a blanket of ebony nothingness, but Brooks still felt as if she had run a mile, waking up as her airways betrayed her.
Finally, after a few more minutes of fervent debating, her taste buds demanded nothing less than caramel, the hazelnut cup surely the choice of tomorrow. (Then again, it was rare that Brooks could get by with just one cup...) Slipping out her wallet, the dull green bills exchanged hands rather quickly, the disguised Border Collie all too eager to devour the coffee. Finally gripping the plastic cup in slightly quivering hands, the female agent slipped into a chair by the window, the tall chair standing in front of a marble countertop, facing a wide window that viewed the street with a cool, relaxed gaze.
Sliding her elbows onto the counter, bone met stone as weight transfered, the woman rising before organizing her legs underneath her and settling down again. Letting out a hissing sigh through her teeth, slender shoulders sagged, the woman gripping her coffee before turning her cranium level once more. Had anyone asked me five years ago where I saw myself now, no guess I could've conjured would come anywhere close to where I am right now. Her left hand snaked up onto her scarred cheek, the arm supporting her face as she fiddled with the cup in her right hand, for some reason waiting to drink. Five years... a new job, new life almost... new co-workers... and yes, new friends.
She'd been released from Howard's hold at long last, the past few months a homage to that. Finally avenging her partner and taking down his murderer had been gratifying at first, but for how long? It had only been a few months, weeks really since the partners had fully recovered from that one night that had changed everything in ways Brooks couldn't have imagined. How long had it been since she'd met her new partner? Not even a year ago. And yet he hadn't hesitated to leap into action at her defense; Hadn't stopped for a single moment to think of the effects it would have beyond the two in that warehouse.
Incredibly, that wasn't the only time he'd proved... that emotion. That certain emotion that they now shared; That bubbly, ridiculous feeling that crept up when she wasn't looking, slipping easily behind her stony guard and making her weak in the knees; That settled deep in her stomach and shook up a life that had already been through the blender. Finally drawing a brace-free hand to her lips, the coffee that sat in her grip poured down the throat, the liquid never failing to both calm her down and open her eyes to the world. Coffee always drew things into a sharper focus, always could stop her head from spinning.
And she was supposed to be the calm one!
Always the one who breathed in and out while panic ensued, ignoring the chaos around her and getting the job done, Brooks could count on one hand how many times she'd lost the stony control she usually possessed. Described as calm, collected, even to the point of apathy at times, the Brooks that Eldridge had hired, and created the fated partnership with, had long since vanished to an extent. Of course, her office, her work remained a constant focused no-nonsense zone, an attitude that would likely remain unchanged as time wore on, but it was those little moments in the hallway, the thoughts pronounced during stakeouts that ruined her focus, that got under her skin and turned her back into a self-conscious teenager.
Not that she hasn't been in love before. Although far from something of a frequent dater (especially in the past two years), Brooks had a relationship here and there, but nothing ever too stable. So why now? The fluttery feeling hadn't reached her this much any other time, leaving the relationship to inevitably fizz out and sputter, but now? With Booth? She knew full well that policy was not to get involved with a co-worker, especially a partner; So why was she defying the odds now? Sometimes, I don't think love is anywhere near worth it. But I also think that we don't have a choice; Someone falls into our lives and then - suddenly, we're on for the ride.
Looking down at her cup of coffee that sat in front of her, the liquid had cooled considerably, now only lukewarm in temperature. Sighing, she downed the rest of it quickly, lightly cringing as the cooled liquid went down in a disgraced state, far from what coffee usually deserved. Spinning the paper cup between both hands now, all that was left of the damage done to her were pearly scars, the one on her wrist only causing subtle hinderances in movement. Still proficient in shooting anything that came at her or her team, the wrist bent and flexed accordingly, the only damage appearing in weight bearing and minimal flexibility. "
Other: I don’t have a favourite couple, but Percabeth is pretty cute.
