The Arena had always been Bex's favorite place at Camp Half-Blood.
Everything about the place, from the way her sneakers kicked up the dirt to the way the sun shone on the stands, was familiar. Bex could feel the sun's rays beating bouncing off of her blonde curls. Today was going to be a great day. No doubt.
She felt her bracelet turning into a dagger on her left hand, and she grasped the hilt of it. With only a slight glance, she threw the dagger at a battle dummy about 40 feet away. A few miliseconds later, she heard the familiar thump of her dagger finding it's mark.
Bex walked to the dummy and observed where the dagger had hit. It had embedded itself an inch into an area just shy of where the dummy's heart would've been. A sure kill.
Bex gave a small frown as her gray eyes analyzed exactly how far off she'd been from meeting her mark. Then she quickly pulled her dagger from the dummy and walked once more across the Arena.
Her second time around, Bex managed to get a perfect hit across the dummy's heart. Her gray eyes gleamed with pride as she gave a slight nod.
However, Bex kept practicing. Over and over, the daughter of Athena threw her knife at the dummy across the Arena. Most of the time, she would hit perfectly or nearly perfectly across the dummy's heart or other immediate killspot. Everytime that would happen, she would keep reminding herself that practice makes perfect, and that moving targets would be a lot harder to hit.
Over and hour later, the girl finally took a break to lay down and look at the clear blue sky above, a bottle of water at her side. As she watched the clouds above move across the sky, Bex couldn't help but review the last hour of practice session in her head, what she had done well, what she needed to improve.
This had become a habit in the past few years. After the girl had moved to Camp, fighting was one of the few things she had almost immediatley taken to. She enjoyed it completley, even if she looked a little crazy out practicing as much as she did.
It wasn't just fighting for Bex. She was strategizing the entire time. Trying to predict what her opponents were going to do was one of the things Bex, like most children of Athena, did well. Bex hoped that maybe one day she would get to go on a Quest to defend her Camp, the only home she'd known for over a decade.

He left the summit again.
Only a few days ago was he freed from his punishment for leaving last time. Now, here he was again.
Well, not where he was last month. This was a new place- Camp Half-Blood. Enemy territory.
Cameo hadn't come here intentionally, in fact, it was a total accident. His only intent was to explore the outside world, but he never really knew where he was going. He was a smart boy though, if he didn't get caught, he'd have no trouble finding his way back. "That's your flaw!" His mother, Themis, would always scold. "You always let yourself get caught! I am ashamed."
He lived to please his mother, but this would never sting. "But mother," he'd reply, "You're one of the great titans! How can I fare against one so powerful as you?" This was his excuse- the fact that she was a titan. And it was true. It was never semi-titans who caught him, it was only titans.
Cameo's mother was never amused by her son's response. "Cameo, one day you will be at my side, facing gods. If you cannot avoid me, how will you avoid them? Not that I want you to be leaving the summit, as I have told you many times, there is nothing out there for you. But when you do leave, do not let me catch you, for when you do, you are nothing but a fool!" He could never take it to heart. He was convinced that, because he was half human, it was only his nature that he would never be able to win against a god or a titan.
Either way, with that forgotten, he had decided to sneak away earlier in the morning. Cameo might have taken other paths that led to well-known places, so he could futher investigate, but he decided that he wanted to try something new today. And now he had found it- Camp Half-Blood. He had never seen it before, but he had heard tales, and so he knew this was it. Slyly, the semi-titan snuck in. No intentions of harming anyone crossed his mind- it would not be fair of him. Also, there was the fact that he was outnumbered, but this didn't matter- he had been in many situations where he was outnumbered, it was never an issue for him.
Cameo would observed the others, and how they got along. Evidently, this was a more pleasant place to be than the summit. He held back a sigh, and continued to lurk unnoticed.
Finally, a girl came into his sight, throwing daggers at dummies. He watched, intrigued, wondering what the girl might be doing. Is she training? He shook his head, his blonde hair not messing up in the least. No way. No training is that simple. She must be playing a game of some sort.
The semi-titan continued to watch, as boredom started to take over. His green eyes followed the girl as she began to stare at the sky. Cameo figured that, nothing of interest was probably going to happen, and so he was about to leave... [/blockquote]

When he would surely catch sight of the small girl standing directly behind him, leaving only a few inches of space between them. Her grey eyes were almost as dark as charcoal or the colour of thunder itself, as rage was flowing through her veins at a pace all too rapid to be considered safe. It was here that Evadne Jocson's protective instincts were thrown into overdrive, her posture, although miniscule, was hunched over in a threatening pose. To those who didn't know her, the way the girl positioned her hands would seem almost silly, as they hovered above and below each other with two fingers extended toward the chest and neck respectively. But Eva's small frame was hiding a power too great to fully conceal, as the tips of her raven-black hair began to levitate and snap with the static.
And to think, the trespasser would've been able to avoid this sticky scenario if only Eva had taken her typical route to the arena - her airborne one.
Eva had slept in late that day, the ascension of the sun lost on her as it's rays slapped against the marble walls of her lonely cabin, and her friends knowing better than to wake her if the child of Zeus wasn't up already. Not typically a morning person, the consequences for rudely waking her cold range from anything from a nasty bout of static to a full-blown lightning strike, enough to send the meddling camper to the Apollo cabin. But that story aside, Eva's unexpectedly extended slumber had caused the girl to miss two of the more important meals of the day - breakfast and lunch, and had left the girl sapped of energy.
So she traveled on foot to where Eva knew as sure as she was a child of Zeus she would find her best friend of countless years at this camp engrossed in her nearly ritualistic training. How many times had the pair been late for all manner of things as they sparred in the arena? Or lost a blade buried hilt-deep in the wooden targets, so stuck that three children of Ares had to combine efforts to pull it out? In any case, Eva allowed herself a small smile of satisfaction when she heard the comforting 'whumps' of a knife meeting a target with rapid succession, but the warm feeling quickly faded as a figure she didn't recognize was peering in from a concealed location.
Clad in bare feet partially covered with her black leg warmers, the woman sunk lower to the ground than her usual stature, and was able to creep up on the stranger without much difficulty. Her sweatpants were a little longer than they needed to be, and so they dragged along the dusty floor in her hunter's crouch, her orange t-shirt working against her camouflage. Finally, her ebony hair was pulled back in a half ponytail away from her face, with her extended hands wrapped in ivory bandages down to their heels. But all of this was lost on the party in the arena as Eva stared down the intruder, muttering only a few words that cut like a knife through the air. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't incinerate you on the spot for spying on my best friend."

To say the very least, Bex was shocked when the unfamiliar boy emerged from the bushes. Instinct taking over, the daughter of Athena lept to her feet, ready to give the intruder a good lesson in spying with her dagger.
Then Eva emerged from the bushes and threatened the boy and Bex figured she was going to be ok. There was a minimal chance that the boy would be able to beat her, much less Eva and her working together. Especially with Eva's whole electricity thing. The girls had learned over the years that the human body's percentage of water made it an excellent conductor.
Bex's dagger layed clenched in her hands as she glared furiously at the boy. "What?! A girl can't watch the sky without someone spying on her?! What kind of a freak are you?!", she demanded harshly.
The sun creeped closer to the middle of the sky as Bex turned her gray gaze on Eva. She gave a smile. "So. Finally woke up, huh? Nice nap?", she questioned. Her tone was light, as if the boy wasn't there, and it was a normal afternoon chitchat between Eva and herself.
Finally, she took another look at the boy. Bex guessed he wasn't bad looking. She didn't really spend much time around guys, and definitley didn't think about how hot they were like the Aphrodite girls did. After all, it was the middle of the summer. Wasn't everybody hot? Bex figured it was another teenage slang term that she hadn't been informed of. What else was new?

He heard her words before he saw her face. "I-" And then he saw her face. "Woah."
No, there was nothing terrifying about her. Yes, she was in a threatening pose, even threatening him, but this didn't phase him in the least. It was just, she was really... beautiful. Even with that staticy hair, she still look stunning. Cameo was quiet, just admiring every little detail about her. Yes, he'd seen some attractive girls among the other semi-titans, but none of them could possibly match up to this. She must be one of those Aphrodite girls his mother warned him about- their beauty could paralyze you, their words could make you their slave. Wow, was she powerful...
After being silent for a moment, he shook his head, trying to clear it. "I wasn't spying. I was observing. There is a difference." Cameo's voice portrayed no alarm, it was very placid and honest. "I found this camp, and decided to take a look around." He turned to the girl whom he was accused of "spying" on. "I was curious of what you were doing. I'm sorry if I've bothered you." Normally, he would probably leave right now, but... the dark-haired girl was just sooooo beautiful. How could he possibly leave?
The semi-titan looked them both over. "My name is Cameo." His eyes quickly darted over to the dark-haired demi-god. Not like he could really keep his eyes off her that long, but... "You're a daughter of Aphrodite, I assume? You're really beautiful." Realizing the other girl was still there, he turned to her, not wanting to be rude. "Not that you're not beautiful, but you seem like more of an Athena-type, rather than an Aphrodite. Just a guess." Of course, his Aphrodite-assumption-girl was like a magnet, and his eyes, like metal. He was back to staring at her, and he smiled.

From behind the boy's frame, Eva could tell that Bex was aware of the situation herself, but letting Eva deal with it. However, her silver eyes were trained on the boy's face, taking in some details that would only really be noticed by a teenager jacked up on hormones. There were probably no other words in the english language that could cause Eva to drop her defenses so quickly, practically immobilized with shock from the unexpected compliment that he'd given to her, and this registered physically as her bandaged hands dropped, all traces of hostility vanished and even her hair losing it's static and lying flat on her shoulders.
"Uhm..." Suddenly tongue-tied, the girl was blinking into Cameo's deep green eyes, her sense of hearing deafened to what her partner-in-crime was saying to her. But as soon as he broke the concentration, the spark that had fluttered between them vanished, and Eva's hands flew to her hips, the girl shifting her weight. Donning her intimidating mask once more, the daughter of Zeus' eyes darkened again as her eyebrows furrowed, but this time her hands weren't held in a threatening position. Raising an eyebrow at Bex, Eva moved to lock eyes with the daughter of Athena before returning her gaze back to Cameo, eyes attracted to him like a crow to shiny objects, unable to look away. His speech was only just penetrating her consciousness as Evadne looked into Cameo's orbs, but that didn't stop her from reacting, just slowed her reaction time considerably.
"Doesn't make much of a difference in the outcome." The woman sniffed, still keeping her gaze trained on Cameo, although it was unclear whether or not it was because of his unexpected presence or that his attractive physical features were luring her in. Waiting until he apologized to cut in, the woman's calculating eyes looked him up and down with suspicion. "This isn't a camp you can just 'find' - How did you get through the barrier?" If their defenses were down, it wouldn't be hard for unwanted company to drop in, worse than her present company. However, the camp's barrier weren't the only ones that were potentially down in this scenario...
At the stranger's next comment, Eva was so startled that she had to physically retreat from the situation, her right leg taking on her weight as she stepped back a small amount. It took her a moment to even consider replying to what he'd said, and then all she could manage was a surprised hum. "Uh.. no. Not even close. Zeus, actually." She muttered, all the fire extinguished for the moment, before her attention was drawn back to Bex. As 'Cameo' regarded her, Eva couldn't help but let the right corner of her mouth twitch in a smile, before saying "Well, one of two isn't terrible."
Then, moving her body closer to Bex, she positioned herself on an angle between the two parties, so she was able to keep an eye on Cameo while speaking to her best friend. "Hey now, you'd be pretty tired too if you had to lift an entire group out of 'enemy territory' in capture the flag last night!" the girl joked, referencing the camp-wide game they'd had last night. Of course, they were on the same sides, and in that particular game Eva was charged with lifting the aggressive players out of the zone where they could be tagged, and set them down in home territory. She'd nearly been hit with some of the Apollo kids' arrows, but luckily the Demeter kids were able to snag them with vines so everyone could get to safety.

Bex's confusion couldn't even be described in words.
At first, all was normal. Eva was fiercely protective of Bex, and the death threats were not uncommon when coming face to face with a stranger.
Then Eva dropped her defensive stance. What was with her? And the way the boy, Cameo, kept watching Eva was starting to worry Bex. And Eva seemed absolutely enchanted. What was going on?
Not a minute later, the daughter of Athena had the whole thing figured out. This was a trap. Cameo was an enemy of some sort, here to lure Eva away. A child of the King of the Gods had to be worth something, right? He was obviously studying Eva and herself for weaknesses, as to figure out the easiest way to kidnap the daughter of Zeus.
Bex rolled her eyes as Cameo pointed out that she was a daughter of Athena. Then he called Eva a daughter of Aphrodite and beautiful, and Bex was even more confused. Eva had absolutley nothing in common with the manipulative daughters of love. And beautiful...? Well, that wasn't a word Bex wasn't exactly used to hearing, and judging by Eva's reaction, neither was she.
Obviously the boy was a Charmspeaker, and he was using his Charm to get Eva to listen to him. Then, when no one was watching, he would lure her out of Camp. His plot couldn't have been more obvious to Bex.
However, as a daughter of Athena, she didn't want to act to rashly. She would stick a big fat hole in the middle of Cameo's plan as soon as possible, but for now she would pretend she knew nothing about what his plan was. The element of surprise was a child of Athena's favorite weapon, and Bex was certainly going to use it.
So, instead of jumping on the boy and tackling him to the ground threatening with his life, Bex simply stood watching Eva and Cameo in front of her. The scene made her confused and slightly uncomfortable. "I can't wait to throw him out of Camp", she thought to herself. She then proceeded to run through a variety of different torture techniques in her head that she could use to get the boy to confess his plan of kidnapping Eva to Chiron. "Maybe the Camp will be so proud of me for catching the spy that I'll even get a Quest!", Bex thought excitedly to herself.

"... there was a barrier?" How the heck were these demi-gods a threat? They were more harmless than babies. Actually, babies probably would be stronger- he and his "peers" survived situations that most babies do not. This would definitely be an easy battle, when it happened... though, probably an unfair one. Why were they going to fight? It was obvious whom the victor would be. And I sure wouldn't like to face this girl in battle... How could he harm someone so gorgeous? Ugh! Only for you, mother...
His eyes widened as she said who she was. "Zeus?" Cameo thought about it for a moment. "The electricity... I guess you're right. An Aphrodite child couldn't do that." He nodded, then circled her, taking in her physical image. "Sure you're not some goddess in disguise, a child of Zeus and Aphrodite?" He joked, winking at her. Odd... he never acted like this around girls at the summit. Not like they ever paid attention to him, anyway. He wondered- was it because no girls were worth telling such too, or was it due to his discipline? No one there really had boyfriends or girlfriends. War, train, fight, kill, the only words that were ever heard....
When he stopped circling the girl, he looked at both of them once more. "So, I told both of you my name. What are yours?" He was forcing himself not to just stare at the Aphrodite-Zeus-crossover-girl, and to focus on both of them. It was so hard! You can face challenges that kill most semi-titans, and yet you can't even look away from a girl for a few seconds?! Shame! What would his mother think? Hopefully, she wouldn't find out. How will she feel about me being in enemy territory? Cameo thought about it. Furious? Or maybe proud, for "spying" on the enemy? (which he wasn't really doing, but she could assume that.) Truly, he hoped for the latter.

Oblivious to the thoughts running through Bex's mind, Eva's keen gaze followed Cameo's trail suspiciously, eyes narrowing at this development. He didn't even know there was one... is our security at risk? Making a mental note to check that with Chiron later, she'd have to deal with this trespasser first, before leaving the arena. Frankly, it'd be stupid to let some unknown person wander around Camp Half-Blood on his own, without knowing any of his motives for being there in the first place. And... well... Eva wouldn't admit it, but she felt a pang of anxiety grip her chest when she thought about leaving Cameo to the mercy of the camp - especially the group of dodo brains that made up the Aphrodite cabin.
The way that Cameo said her father's name didn't sit right with Eva, and so she crossed her arms across her chest, a small suspicious pout poking from her lips. "What, haven't heard of the guy? Only the king of the Gods, so minor..." Sarcasm dotted her tone not unkindly, but her lips spread in a triumphant smile as he mentioned the electricity that had caused her hair to fly. "That bit of static? 'Cameo', you haven't seen anything yet." As he nodded, the girl swept her right leg along the ground, causing dust to build up against her foot, before turning to her left as she moved, bringing her arms in a circle around her frame. As soon as her arms returned to her chest and her leg was in position, she clenched her hands in half of a fist, with her index and middle finger extended in both hands, before jabbing them forward in tandem. For a split second the static hung in the air harmlessly, and rather anti-climatically before suddenly, out of nowhere almost, twin bolts of lightning exploded from her four fingertips, directed at the target that Bex had been tossing knives at moments before, completely charring it and reducing the cloth dummy to a charred mess on what looked like a wooden pole.
Truth be told, she was showing off for Cameo, but not to the extent she could have. If she really wanted to impress the man, all Eva would have to do is channel the lightning from the generated storm clouds above her head - now that was impressive. Just as effective as the bolts from her fingers, but more visually stunning. But as he circled her, all traces of the confidence that usually come from showing off her powers with lightning were quickly slipping off of her skin, and she couldn't help but feel as if she was being examined, and fairly self-conscious as he went around her. The answer to feeling self-conscious and threatened? In Eva's books, it was to intimidate him right back. So as his steps took him around her, Eva moved her position so she was always facing him, a glare still painted on her features. Even as she opened her mouth to bark some kind of intimidating phrase, she was cut off by... Oh Gods.
Was he flirting with her? Eva may not have had much experience in the love department, but it wasn't hard to tell that Cameo was definitely trying to flirt. Fighting a blush back valiantly, all Eva could manage was a shake of her head, thrown off too wildly by the nature of Cameo's attention to her. Finally, when the boy stopped his prowling, Eva could regain some of her authority of the conversation, and jumped back in before Bex had a chance to say something. "Not so fast. Maybe if you tell us why you're here in the first place, and how you got in, we'll consider making a deal." Another detail that was bugging her mind was just what his lineage was - but that was a smaller detail. Less important in the grand scheme of things, but that didn't stop her mind from wanting to know just where this... alright, she'd give in... this attractive stranger came from, and why he was so engrossed with Eva and (to a lesser extent), Bex.

Bex continued to simply observe Eva and Cameo. She began thinking about how exactly the boy had gotten in Camp. He'd obviously crossed the barrier. That meant that he was either a demigod- or worse. That made Bex distrust him all the more as she stood on the other side of Eva, glaring furiously at the boy and clenching her dagger tightly in her hand.
Then Eva began her light show. Bex had witnessed plenty of them, as the daughter of Zeus insisted doing the show for most new people they met. Bex knew that even though the daughter of Zeus was immune to most of the egoism associated with children of her lineage, Eva was definitely her father's daughter when it came to putting on a show. Nothing about it was unfamiliar, until Bex heard the sound of wood cracking. She looked over and saw the dummy she'd been using not an hour ago reduced to not much more than char. She rolled her gray eyes back around to Eva and sighed irritably. ”That was my favorite practice dummy!”, she complained.
Then Bex heard the boy ask for their names, and Bex knew her hunch had been confirmed. Cameo was definitely a spy sent to kidnap Eva. There was no other explanation for the weird sequence of events that was going on. He'd kidnap Eva and take her back to... err- wherever he came from. If he could get through the border, he was either a demigod or worse. And personally, Bex was betting on the latter.
Bex was distracted from her worst case scenario thinking by Eva asking the boy what his motive for being at Camp was. Bex couldn't resist a snort. She knew why the boy was at Camp, even if her best friend didn't. She would have to enlighten Eva later. The spy's plot was painfully obvious, in Bex's eyes, but it was obvious Eva didn't see it. ”Too busy doing some weird dance with him”, she thought bitterly, remembering the way the boy had moved in a circle around her best friend, and she had countered. It was a strange... something, that was for sure. There really wasn't a word for it, that Bex could think of.

Cameo watched her graceful movements. To be honest, he was not very impressed with the move- he had seen much, much better. Though, it was probably the most powerful thing he'd seen from anyone so far in this camp- they all seemed so weak! Why did they not have better trainers? Why did the gods themselves not aid them, make them stronger?
Still, pushing these questions to the back of his mind, he thought she looked very lovely carrying out the act, if it could be called that. It was like an art, as the lights flowed so perfectly from her hand. He was mesmerized by this girl.
"You sure you're not a granddaughter of Zeus and Aphrodite?" He said, a bit more seriously and suspiciously. How could a normal demi-god have such an effect on him? This practically made her a threat to him. If worse came to worse, he WOULD hurt her, whether he liked it or not. Just, well, hopefully it wouldn't have to come to that. But it might...
"Hmph. That's not fair. I told you my name. But okay, I will answer your questions." Now, don't give out too much detail- you're the enemy! They can't know that. "I'm here out of curiosity and boredom. I love to explore new places all the time, and I go, not knowing where I am going. I saw this place, and decided to investigate. As for how I got in, that's a stupid question. I came in quite easily, as most would, with such a barrier of your kind, and I came in unnoticed. I figured your- friends?- might see me as a threat, and I did not wish to disturb anyone, so I remained hidden. I was actually just about to leave, when I turned around to see you." He gave a friendly smile, while his green eyes seemed to glow. "Now, I've told you what you wanted. So tell me, what are your names?"

Truth be told, that dummy had been through a lot over the past few weeks. And for them, that dummy had a pretty long life. It had lived through more than enough knife gashes, tossed left and right by the winds Eva summoned, and even when the girls decided to experiment with twin clubs, they'd used that particular dummy to bear the brunt of their attacks. So when Eva decided to 'perform' for Cameo, she wasn't aiming for that dummy in particular, but when she saw it reduced to rubble she gave a shrug, turning her gaze to Bex's. "It was on it's last legs anyways." She said, before Cameo pulled her back into his world, his question still hanging in the air.
However, at this point, his insistence was getting just a bit irritating. Eva knew she was not beautiful, nor captivating, and it was bordering on an insult that this boy was professing this to her. Becoming the slightest bit defensive, Eva began tossing her head left to right in a smooth motion, only twice before finishing her decisive answer. "Only Zeus." But why in Hades was he insisting on something more to her bloodline? This was just confusing. The girl shared next to nothing with the crew from Aphrodite's cabin, and she knew her biological mother well, so why would he assume she was with that load of bobble-heads?
Raising a suspicious eyebrow, Eva had to admit that she wanted to trust the words spilling from Cameo's rather attractive lips, but couldn't bring herself to in the end. She'd been hanging around the much smarter Bex for too long to have the wool drawn over her eyes so easily. After he finished his lame excuse for a motive, the daughter of Zeus could only just contain her frown in a mask of passive acceptance. It was better for him to not suspect that she was suspecting him, for the sake of both her later sanity and Bex's. After a long moment of Cameo's question hanging in the air, Eva let out a sigh before mulling her options. What harm would it be if Cameo knew her first name? There was honestly no reason she could come up with against telling the boy that information, and so parted her lips to shape her name in a neutral voice, greens locked on greys, ready to trace even the faintest reaction to the three letters that spelled "Eva."

Bex continued to stand with her arms crossed. As Eva answered her complaints, the daughter of Athena gave a small nod, but continued to glare furiously at Cameo. She would miss that old dummy. It was going to take a lot of practice to break another dummy in.
Who did he think he was feeding them that story as if they were infants? As if Bex was going to believe that he actually marched through the barrier. With every passing moment, Bex was getting more irritated with the pathetic soul standing before her.
She marched closer to the spy, standing directly beside Eva. She crossed her arms and lifted her head to look at the boy. ”Bex.”, she stated firmly, ”You know, the one you were SPYING on?', she said irritably. ”I was practicing my knife skills. Training. And you're interrupting my session.”. Her tone was cold and accusing. It was clear that Bex didn't like the handsome young boy standing in front of her, even if it was clear her best friend thought otherwise.
The sun was in the middle of the sky now. ”Great”, Bex thought irritably, ”Now I'm going to have to train in the heat of the day.”. The girl gave Cameo another sour look that was remarkably similar to the way Hades' milk probably tasted. Curdled. Ya know, if the gods drank milk...
”We don't like intruders”, the daughter of Athena said, her tone dangerous and cold. She turned her eyes to her best friend for a moment. ”Hey, Eva. I've got an idea.”, she said, her tone lighter than the clouds. A complete transformation from only seconds earlier. The blonde teenager turned her stone hard gaze back to the boy in front of them again. Though there was nothing dignifying about the way the short girl was forced to lift her head to stare at the stranger, she still managed to look somewhat dangerous. ”How about we use HIM as our new practice dummy? He fits the name well enough. No one would know the difference”, she suggested easily as a small smile crossed her face.

"Well... okay then." It was obvious that he still wasn't convinced. "No one ever told me that daughter's of Zeus we so beautiful, but I guess I know now. I'll remember." Cameo gave her a wink again, his smile growing bigger. "Eva. I like it. Nice to meet you, Eva, even if you did want to harm me earlier!' He chuckled slightly. "You don't seem very comfortable now... am I doing something that bothers you?" Concern flowed gently in his voice, and flickered softly in his eyes. The semi-titan was so focused on Eva, that it didn't even occur to him that he was being glared at by the smaller girl.
However, he did hear her as she said her name, and he looked down. "Ah, Bex! That is-" He was cut off by her fury. "I was not spying, I am sorry if you think so." All the concern he had for Eva was now drained from his voice, his emotion unreadable. "And oh! That was training..." Cameo forced himself not to laugh. "I honestly thought you were playing. Everyone has their own way, I suppose..." He tried to imagine facing these demi-gods in battle. No way would he be able to take them seriously, never in a million years. "I'm sorry I interrupted. As I have said, I was planning to leave, and besides, you were lying on the grass. I assumed you we're done with whatever game you were playing."
She seemed to be threatening him, almost. Mother would not approve if I started fighting here and now... I should walk away... Cameo gave a side-glance to Eva. But what about her?! Ugh... live without her I must. It's not big deal, I'll get over it...

Mentally taking a step back from the confrontation, Eva's eyes wandered elsewhere as she tried to clear her mind from the clouding influence Cameo had on her. What was he doing to her? She kept getting these shivers down her spine, and her heart would speed up just slightly as he looked at her with those wonderful, deep green eyes of his... No! Stop thinking about them! Even her head was starting to spin as this powerful being in front of her could just look at her and cause such a reaction. Was this what hypnotism felt like? In any case, he was dangerous, and Eva would definitely have to look out for any trickery he could be feeding them, and protect Bex and the camp at any cost.
When Cameo insisted the daughters of Zeus were beautiful creatures, Eva honestly could not resist rolling her eyes as the focus returned to the insistent man in front of her. What are you, a one-trick horse? she thought, before opening her mouth to voice her opinion. "Oh come on now. You're not tired of that joke?" She asked, her tone darkening. Eva didn't enjoy the attention to begin with, although she was a little flattered by it (it made her skin feel all funny). But this was going a little too far, even as he winked at her and Eva's resolve disappeared down the drain again. This was going to be a very long conversation, with the mini-Zeus flickering from steely resolve to mush and back to fury in a matter of moments.
When Cameo asked if she was alright, Eva turned her gaze fully onto the boy, resembling a deer in the headlights as her eyes grew wide. How in Tartarus was she supposed to reply to that? 'I'm fine, you're just making me feel flattered and fluttery and I wonder what you smell like, since I think I like you although I really don't know you and can't know you since you're an intruder so GET OUT but really stay here'? Somehow, that seemed too long. Luckily for Eva, Bex stepped in with her answer, allowing Eva to nod in the background and place her bandaged hands on her hips, head tilted towards her best friend. As Bex provided the idea to Eva, the teenager couldn't help but let out a laugh, instantly catching onto the joke. "C'mon, Bex, you know what happened the last time we did that! We didn't hear the end of it for weeks!" The daughter of Zeus mock-complained, putting on act in an effort to rattle her new companion. If he even made the slightest attempt to attack Bex, Eva knew what she'd have to do, and even started to shift her muscles slightly to the balls of her feet. The movement was so miniscule that no one would be able to know it, but Eva's arms were ready to throw Bex behind her and prepare to threaten the boy with her lightning. Bex had gotten the pair into one too many fights with her blunt honesty so that Eva was able to sense when things had the potential to become tense.
Although it would be a shame to strike someone as good-looking as he was... And if he wasn't feeding them such poppycock about why he was here, Eva would say she rather enjoyed his visit.
And when Cameo assumed that Bex's training was playing, the daughter automatically winced, knowing that Bex would take great offense to that remark. "Here we go..." She breathed under her breath, running her right hand through her hair, starting at her bangs and moving to the nape of her neck. "Bex, drop it..." She muttered, already knowing that her friend would be bristling with fury. "If you think you can do better, why don't you show us?" She asked, unable to resist giving an enticing smile to goad him along. A challenge would help show Eva and Bex what they were up against in terms of the imposter, which would go a long way should they ever need to fight.
