It's been a month since the students have returned to Hogwarts, becoming accustomed to the old routine of school. Tension is still running high, the fact that things have been unusually calm lately only increasing the worry of something big being on the horizon. Still, with Halloween and the Family Fright Fest on the horizon, it's easy to be unconcerned. However, that's not always a good thing...
The Professors encourage the old routine, piling homework on the Fifth and Seventh Years especially in an attempt to prepare them for the ever-important exams they would have to take at the end of the year. The underlying worry and tension is hard to hide, however, and there's no mistaking the extra security in Hogwarts. For the most part, it seems as if all is well, but everyone knows that saying - there's always a calm before a storm, and even Dumbledore himself is anticipating the storm that would surely be upon them as You-Know-Who continues to gain supporters. With everything so hidden, how can you tell who's your friend and who's your enemy?
The Order is growing, but so is You-Know-Who's army, and it's unclear which side is stronger. The uncertainty is far worse than the knowledge, but Professor Dumbledore is doing everything possible to stop the panic from spreading among the students, instead distracting them with the prospects of Family Fright Fest, Quidditch season, and, of course, the Tabula Rasa Tournament to look forward to. There's no depleting the shadow of worry in the back of everyone's mind, and maybe it's better that way. This is definitely a time to be on guard, after all._________________________________________
Note from the Staff: We have over 20 wonderfully active members who would love to share ISS with you! Everyone is super friendly and enjoys getting into deep, intricate plots. Don’t be afraid that you won’t be welcomed, as we can guarantee you that we're a super friendly community of writers. ISS has been around for over three years and we're still going strong, so that's gotta say something. What began as a Marauders Era rp situated solely in Hogwarts has progressed to the point where the Marauders have graduated and we've got muggle and magical London alike available for role-playing, and tons of exciting plots among both our graduated and in-school characters. Here's a list of what you can expect:
- Experienced staff members and role-players alike, a friendly, welcome community that'll be happy to have you, and we're active, active, active.
- We play Quidditch, for real! A site-wide game takes place every month or so to simulate the match and everyone can participate, whether they have a character on a team or not.
- The exciting inter-house Tabula Rasa Tournament is coming up for students, and there's still time for you sign up!
- New skins frequently, along with lots of other updates as we constantly work to bring new stuff to site in whatever way we can.
- Rita Skeeter’s very own Tabloid, where you can fill in on all the latest gossip, and be sure to catch up on all the scoop (;
- Our very own yearbook, updated every school year.
- On-going classes, updated every month, where you can rp in shorter posts in the classroom setting and earn house points.
- And did we mention all the different locations available for rping? We've got over 80 rping boards - and an "Additional Locations" just in case we didn't cover something (;
Honestly, when it comes to ISS, the staff and members alike pour their hearts into everything they do and we'd love to have you. Check us out for yourself! We promise you right now that you will not be disappointing by visiting. And if you like it, join! Become a part of our family by signing up today!
