Saber.
He was amused by her reaction, and leaned closer to her face, staring into her eyes. "Oh, come on. You know what I meant." He continued to lean in. "You know, you're REALLY pretty..." Suddenly, he felt out of breath- but it wasn't from her beauty, exactly.
Riley.
Riley giggled at Ari's comment, but her giggle faded into a growl as she watched Saber getting close to her sister. Instinctively, she kicked him really hard in the stomach, shoving him away. She had be tempted to use her sword, but her brain still advised her not to kill, and she reluctantly obeyed. "Leave my sister alone, jerk! She doesn't like you!" Riley pushed the tip of the sword to his throat. No killing. No killing. "Don't even go near her, or I may just have to kill you." She side-glanced at Ari, wondering if she'd get any support.

Without even thinking, Mary-Kate reached out and jabbed Saber in his stomach repeatedly with the hilt of her dagger and knocked him to the ground. "CREEP!", she yelled, completley out of intinct. Her eyes were wide and wild. She looked at Ari with a stunned expresion. She shook her head, trying to get rid of the thoughts. She looked at Saber on the ground. "I can't believe you had the NERVE to say that to my face!", she yelled. The part of Mary-Kate's brain that liked the reckless boy chose to speak up. "But he called you pretty...". Mary-Kate quickly told that part of her brain to shut up and continued to glare at the curly black haired boy on the ground.

And they looked to Ari with good reason. As soon as Saber took the step towards Mary-Kate her defensive temper flared, watching Riley threaten Saber with rapidly darkening eyes. The entire clearing where the training ring was located turned a darker hue than it was before, with her eyes nearly reaching a charcoal colour. The clouds swirled above them and in the distance, thunder seemed to rumble. Narrowing her eyes, the girl took a step towards the group before pressing her hands together and shooting them forward. Suddenly, a large flash of light illuminated the dark clearing, the lightning bolt rippling through Ari's body and finally connecting with the earth a few feet behind Saber - far enough away from Mary-Kate and Riley to keep them in absolute safety but close enough to Saber for him to feel the heat of the blast. The tips of Ari's pale fingers were singed slightly, and her hair stood on end for the moment the lightning rippled through her frame, but the blonde strands settled down for the most part as the lightning dissipated.
"Look, punk. We've only known you for a few moments, and I'm sure you won't be surprised to know that I'm not known for my trusting nature. You are stepping way over the line here, buster, and I will not have you tormenting my sisters like this. So step the hell away from them and I won't fry you like an egg. Do you understand me?" All of this was said in a cool, icy tone that didn't reflect her visage in the slightest - while her tone was cool and relaxed, her eyes blazed a deep grey - nearly black - and her hands didn't shake in the slightest. Her entire body was poised in an aggressive stance, every muscle straining, ready to zap once more despite the toll it took on her. "Back. Away. Now."

Saber.
Saber was thrown backward, and was suddenly being abused by everyone. "H-hey..." He stared nervously at the weapon, and was then attacked by Mary-Kate. "What?! You don't like being pret-" He flinched as lightning struck, just barely missing him. He listened to Ari's words- and actually listened this time. He sinked slightly backwards, and then gave all of them a glare. I'm not going to give in to some stupid girls!
He put his focus on Ari and Riley. He was manipulating the air around them, tapping into their minds. He was bringing down the anger, cooling them off, making them calm. No reason to be angry at me...
Riley.
Riley wanted nothing more than to tear his guts out... but suddenly, she was calming down. Like majorly. For no reason. Woah, mood swings anyone? She pulled her sword away from his throat. "Just... make sure you don't hurt my sister, okay?" Her voice was very calm, there wasn't even a hint of anger... at all.

Mary-Kate looked wide-eyed around her. Her sisters got angry, then all of a sudden they started calming down. Her blonde hair was starting to friz in the heat, but her gray eyes were churning with confusion. "Are you guys alright?", she asked timidly. She glared at Saber and her eyes hardened into the dangerous steel-like silver of a sharp blade. Not even thinking twice, Mary-Kate tackled Saber to the ground and put her knife to his throat. "What did you DO to them?!", she hissed, "You'd best tell me now before I get this knife any closer.". Her eyes glinted a harsh metalic glare, and her teeth were clenched together. Sure, she was the youngest of the three, but she was terribly protective of her twin and honorary sister when needed.

The reaction time to Saber's advances had been swift, and swiftly the training battle had been long forgotten, the three girls railing against the impostor to their happy group. Narrowed eyes and glares met his arrogant glare, and every single one of Ari's muscles were tensed, smoking from the zapping that had occurred moments ago. She wasn't one of those people to instinctively trust people just because they were there - too many teachers-turned-monsters for that - but she was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt until they crossed a line. Which, in this case, Saber had. Riley and Ari's alarm bells had gone off, until, suddenly, it was as if someone had unplugged her anger.
It all just slipped away, as if it were nothing but sweat rolling off of her back, relaxing her muscles until Riley re-sheathed her sword and Ari did the same, lowering the hands that had been intent on harm just a few seconds ago, the smoke finally beginning to die down. Blinking once or twice in confusion, her eyes reverted back to their clear silver state, the clouds above the training arena rapidly disappearing as soon as they had come. As if she could blink the weird state away, Ari continued blinking, shaking her head to try and clear it of this muddled mess she was in. "It's... weird. I know I should be mad, but I'm not..." Her voice was halting, more timid than usual, and Ari's legs stretched forward, taking her on a walk around the arena. Her hands were massaging her temples, although nothing was physically hurting... it was just wrong. Only keeping a wary eye on Mary-Kate as she tackled Saber to the ground, the thought flew through her head that maybe, he could've been able to do something... but to their minds? That was the only thing that seemed frightening to Ari. Sure, she could ward off attackers with her sword, zap threats with lightning and even fly away if need be, but she could do nothing about attacks on her mind.
Shrieking down at the four teenagers, Evangelos flew to the ground just as Ari took to the sky, her pacing not doing enough to alleviate the strange effect. The eagle landed on Mary-Kate's arm gently, to cause her no harm, but shrieked once more in the boy's face wings outstretched as much as possible, demanding an answer just as much as his master's sister was.

Riley.
Her sister seemed concerned, though why, she did not know. "I'm... I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be?" Riley questioned in confusion, the memory of her frustration slipping away. In shock, she watched Mary-Kate put a knife to Saber's throat. Riley froze, shocked and confused. Why's she attacking him?! He hasn't done anything...
Saber.
Saber watched with relief as the girls seemed to surrender. He was satisfied, they were no longer a threat to him. Well... so it seemed, until one of the twins took aim at him. What?! Surely he had brainwashed her as well?
"What are you TALKING about?! I haven't done a thing!" He said convincingly, working his brainwashing charm. Guess not, he thought. Maybe I wasn't focused enough. Let me try again. His amber-eyes bore into her gray ones, it was a very deep and hypnotic gaze, as he put more strength into his work. I haven't done anything at all. You have no reason to think that. Calm down... Saber was vaguely aware of Evangelos's presence, but paid no mind to the bird.

Mary-Kate could hear Riley's voice, but tried to ignore it. She continued to press her knife into Saber's throat, Evangelos on her shoulder. The boy looked into her eyes and started chanting. However, the daughter of Athena's steely gray gaze only hardened. Her blonde curls danced in the slight breeze. "You'd better tell me what you did to them, or I swear you won't live to find out who your godly parent is.", she muttered through clenched teeth. She stood up, the bald eagle still on her shoulder and glared down at the boy intimidatingly. In the space of three seconds, Mary-Kate had already calculated 25 ways to torture the boy while maximizing his pain. "I suggest you stop whatever you're doing and step away." Her tone was cold and her eyes showed her complete seriousness.

Blinking down from where she sat in the air, the breeze was a lot more powerful up where Ari was, and caused her sweatpants and shirt to ruffle in the wind, to say nothing of her hair, which was whipping back and forth. The child of Zeus was anxious, to say the least, because she knew that she had done something because something had happened... She was angry, that had to be it. But she couldn't remember what had happened or why... Nervous that her mind had been warped this way (or had it? That was a question worth posing as well), she typically left everything to do with the mind to her Athena-child sisters, but still grew antsy at being unable to defend herself.
But there Mary-Kate and Evangelos were, proving that there had been something going on before that she was missing. Letting the breezes die down that were supporting her, her bare feet touched the dusty ground once more before stepping to her sister, resting a hand on the arm that Evangelos wasn't on. "What's going on?" She asked, gaze turning back from Saber to Mary-Kate, to her eagle and then to Riley. "Ri, you have any clue? Evangelos?"

Saber.
Okay, something was wrong here.
For some odd reason, his powers weren't working on this girl. At all. No matter how hard he tried. Ugh! What's wrong with you?! CALM DOWN! CALM DOWN NOW! Saber was using all his strength on this girl, and he could feel it draining from him as the seconds passed. He didn't even bother answering her, he just wanted her under his control. At the same time, he was busy balancing the moods of the other two girls. If they were even reminded of their anger one bit, he'd wash it away once more.
Riley.
"I... I have no clue. It seems that Saber's just gotten here, introduced himself, and now... is being attacked. But... I don't know. My brain is like... what? It makes sense but it doesn't..." She realized even she wasn't making any sense. "Maybe I should stop talking. Heheh."

Mary-Kate was standing over the boy in a very irritated fashion. "I'm giving you one last warning", she warned, "Stop what you're doing or you're going to feel the rath of my blade!", Quick as lighting, Mary-Kate sliced a hole in the knee of Saber's jeans and glared him straight in the eye before going over to Ari. "Don't you remember ANYTHING?!", she asked angerly. She pointed to Saber. "That guy was flirting with me! You and Riley both got angry! Riley was about to kill him I swear!". She looked at Evangelos with her desperate stormy gaze.

Eyebrows knotting in the middle of her forehead, all Ari saw was Mary-Kate on top of Saber, and Saber was concentrating very hard on something or another. Eyes clouding in confusion, but clearing as Saber calmed her mood down, the sky was going through some rapid mood changes as the clouds swirled and then dissipated in instants, Ari's emotions beyond her control. "He's focusing on something, but I don't know what..." She said softly, unsure of what should have come before. "I don't remember much after Evangelos went to check for dinner..." The girl murmured, trailing off once more. "I'm with you there, Ri. Nothing's making sense right now."
Blinking at her approaching sister, Ari shrugged, making a sympathetic face towards Mary-Kate. "Sorry Kate-Kat, but I don't have a clue. Sounds like Riley, though." She grinned slightly, before Evangelos butted Mary-Kate's neck lightly in affection and flew back to Ari's outstretched arm. "What she's saying is true, Duchess! The boy's doing something weird to you and Riley - should I claw his eyes out? That would help. I just don't want him doing what he's doing to you! "Are you sure he's doing something?" "I'd know it anywhere!"
Frowning, Ari glanced quickly back to Riley, then Mary-Kate, before speaking once again. "Evangelos wouldn't lie about things like this, although I have no idea what's true and what's not. Saber, you'd better fess up if you are doing something - Chirion isn't too sympathetic towards mind-messers, if that's what's going on here. And I doubt that both Evangelos and Mary-Kate would lie about something like this."

Saber.
Now he was getting really ticked off. He pulled out his smooth, sharp jet- black kunai, ready to fight this girl. Who did she think she was, resisting his attacks and then tearing his jeans?! He continued manipulating the minds of everyone around, keeping the calmness in the air- or at least TRYING to, considering Mary-Kate seemed to be unaffected. Maybe I should just give up... She seems pretty strong... He thought to himself dejectedly. No! Who am I kidding?! I'm not going to let myself get beat by a girl! Ugh... His kunai was slowly returning to where it had come from, his powers loosening bit by bit. Fine. He put his kunai away, and stopped with the mind-messing. "I wasn't doing anything. You say I'm so weak, huh?! Well obviously if I'm so weak then I can't do anything! Duh!"
Riley.
Riley wanted to believe Mary-Kate, really, she did, but there was such a calmness over her... wait, what was she supposed to believe again? Was she supposed to believe anything at all? Hmm... she really did feel that she was to believe something, and it was nagging at her brain. But nope... nada. Maybe I imagined it? That's really weird.
The girl watched Saber take out a weapon- a kunai, not exactly Roman, more Japanese, but a weapon nonetheless. Her eyes became dark, but the calmness was just taking over more. Something was ticking in her brain- ANGER, ANGER, ANGER- but the anger wouldn't come. Still, something was wrong, and who said she couldn't fight when she was calm? She reached for her MetroCard- she didn't know why, but she decided not to question it- but Saber was already putting the kunai away. Now a "real" calmness seemed to be settling in. The tiny little anger faded, and she was calm, and much less confused. "Uhm... okay."

Mary-Kate looked desperately at Saber. "Saber...", she said pleadingly, "Please, just tell me! T-they're all I have...". Mary-Kate's voice had become nothing but a strained whisper as she turned her gray gaze once more on the curly black headed boy. Her eyes were pleading and completely desperate, attempting to reach out to Saber. There were half-formed tears in the corners of her eyes, and the girl reached up to wipe them away. Her sisters were being manipulated and there was absolutely nothing Mary-Kate could do about it. If she hurt the boy, he would just get even more upset and would mind control her sisters even more. It was as good as having hostages. Chiron and her conscience wouldn't approve of her killing the boy. Mary-Kate felt so completely helpless. It was like trying to swim through Jello while paralyzed. Completely impossible and completely helpless. She was reminded of how she'd felt when she'd heard that Nicole had died. The blonde couldn't have don't anything back then, and this happening to her sisters just poured salt over the wound.

As soon as the night blade flashed in the afternoon sun, Ari's silver eyes caught on to the movement and her muscles tensed quickly, a snarl quickly flickering over her face. "Don't you.... dare...?" But the girl couldn't even make it through half of the sentence before the mind-molding began once more, and she shook her head violently, trying to clear it. "What the hell... Why am I not getting mad at this?" She murmured, alternating between shaking her head and remaining perfectly still and calm.
Rolling her eyes at how Saber was reacting to this, Ari's eyes narrowed at first, but then relaxed as the calmness was flooding over her. The iron grip on her mood swings was loosening, but only slightly, and very gradually. She still felt like she was experiencing the entirety of her teenage horomones' mood swings in a matter of minutes, though. Deciding to walk it off, the girl took to pacing around the ring once more, as if stomping on the ground could rid her of this strangeness. Turning his head to watch Mary-Kate's interaction as she walked, the eagle dug his talons into her shoulder lightly, to get her attention. Calm silver eyes focused quizzically on her pet as he tilted his head towards Mary-Kate, turning her attention to the distressed girl. You should go talk to her - she looks pretty worried.
Wincing lightly in sympathy, she nodded before directing her pacing towards Mary-Kate, gently placing her hand on the girl's shoulder after she finished talking, Ari not hearing what she'd said. "Hey, Kate-Kat, it's okay. Don't cry, okay sis? Please?" While the child of Zeus was all talk on the battlefield and seemingly confident without effort, when dealing with her crying sisters, the girl was hopeless, only stabbing in the dark for what could be considered something along the lines of comfort.
