Saber.
Saber softened drastically as he noticed tears forming in her eyes. This girl definitely wasn't a threat now. Or was she? Maybe this is a trick! He got a grip on his kunai, giving her a suspicious, yet, gentle gaze. "Hey... don't cry. I'm done. They're fine." He wanted to go over and hug her, but still. It could be a trick. And besides... she probably wouldn't've reacted so nicely if he did hug her.
Riley.
Riley noticed her sister getting upset. "Hey, Kiki- it's not like I'm dead or anything." She said with a slight smile, going over to hug Mary-Kate. She then glared at Saber. This is your fault, isn't it?! She thought to herself. "I'm going to kill you." She mouthed darkly.

Relief filled Mary-Kate as she heard Riley mutter about killing Saber. It was dark, yes, but it was a reassurance that Riley was all there. The blonde hugged her sister back and muttered "I wasn't crying. You know I don't cry". Crying was a sign of weakness in Mary-Kate's eyes, and she certainly wasn't weak. It wasn't her fault horrible flashbacks of Nicole's death were in her head. Sure, the extent wasn't the same, but she had lost all of her stability for a few seconds and could do nothing about it. It was a feeling that she hated. She was now thorougly embarassed for overreacting like that. "You showed your full weakness in front of a stranger. That wasn't wise" her internal voice told her. Mary-Kate buried her head into her sister's shoulder, cheeks flushed, attempting to recover from the ordeal.

While standing awkwardly behind her embracing sisters, Ari looked to Evangelos for some kind of guidance, a suggestion towards what to do. When all he gave her was a blank stare back, she reached for the back of her head to lightly pull on her hair, watching the exchange with a confused look on her face. But something that Saber had said only a moment before replayed in her head, and she turned her gaze towards him, her eyes darkening only minutely. No clouds swirled overhead just yet, but she kept her gaze on him, trying to piece together what he said. 'He said 'I'm done'... which he wouldn't say if he hadn't done anything to begin with...'
Catching onto her concerned gaze, Evangelos ruffled his feathers lightly, turning his gaze back towards Saber and then Ari, tilting his head. "What're you thinking, Duchess? Shrugging briefly, that was her indicator for 'we can't talk here' if there ever was one. Finally figuring that she should be something other than a third wheel in this scenario, Ari closed the distance between her two sisters and wrapped her arms around them as well, giving them a half-smile. "Don't worry, sis! Riley and I are great, right?" Looking towards the sister in question, she gave her curly blonde hair a quick, affectionate ruffle before squeezing them again.
As Ari embraced the twins, Evangelos took to the skies, quickly whirling around high above the trio (and the fourth wheel), gracefully shaping the air beneath his wings before, just after Ari turned her head towards him, he suddenly entered a steep dive, heading straight for the camp borders. Internal alarms blazing with concern, Ari stepped back, eyes widening with confusion and a bit of fear. "What's he doing...?"
As soon as the question left her mouth, the bald eagle returned to her, amber eyes wide with adrenaline and, one could say fear, diving quickly as his shriek - this time less angry - reverberated around them. "Duchess! An invasion! A breach just outside the camp boundaries!" Instantly, Ari's entire body tensed for only a moment, before nodding. "Go warn Chirion - tell him I'm already there, but to have reinforcements at the gate." Taking off as quickly as he could, Evangelos once more flew like a bullet, this time in the opposite direction, seeking out the centaur to follow Ari's orders.
Not waiting for Mary-Kate or Riley to ask, Ari quickly drew a gust of wind to bring her sandals to her, bending down to strap them onto her feet as she spoke. "Some feather-shooting birds are trying to get in through the mist." Straightening up, she checked quickly for her sword at her side and then stretched her fingers, limbering up for the electricity she would no doubt use. "I want you three to stay - especially you, you glory-seeking punk. These things are serious, and I will not have you rushing into your first battle only to have your eye shot out by an arrow. If I so much as see you anywhere near that battle field, I will fry you like an omelette without a second thought - do you hear me?" As she spoke, she glared at the boy, blade suddenly out, pointing towards his chest despite the fact that he was several feet taller than her.
Once satisfied, she sheathed her blade and moved onto her sisters. Embracing them quickly, she gave each of their hands a quick squeeze before giving them their own warning. "You guys stay here, alright? Do not move from this spot until the dinner bell goes, please?" Stepping back, she gave herself a few feet of space before bringing her arms beside her, raising them quickly and then lowering them slowly. "Riley, I leave you in charge - don't let anyone move!" And with that, a blast of air swirled around them, causing dust to rise in a thick cloud before Ari's slender frame was gone, only a hint of the girl remained as she rushed past the tree tops, swooping down just outside the boundaries of the camp.
To: (Battle!) Running Up That Hill
(PS Shy Sis - it's going to be a quick one-shot thread, and Ari won't be too badly hurt at all. We'll be set to go for the quest!)

Riley.
Riley hugged her sister tighter as she continued to glare at Saber, taking no notice of Ari, until the girl joined in the hug. She then forced all the anger into the back of her mind, and smiled. "Yeah!" She replied.
Riley gave Ari a confused look as she stepped back, and let go of Mary-Kate. "What's wrong...?" She looked towards Evangelos, trying to keep the paranoia from seeping in. Nonetheless, she was getting ready for battle. The girl was clinging to her MetroCard, an excited grin was plastered on her face.
... but it all faded when she was told to stay. Great. She gave Ari a light glare, and chances are, she probably wasn't going to listen. You can't tell me what to do! I'm going to FIGHT! She thought inwardly. She was about to make her thoughts verbal, but Ari had already taken off. The demigod watched after her for a few moments, her feet tapping the ground, obviously irritated. "Hmm..." She muttered to herself, and started pacing. "Meh, I'm the leader." Riley gave Saber a fierce glare. "You." She said it like he was some rival she'd had her whole life. "You will not join that fight. Understand? I don't care how good you can supposedly fight, just don't this time. There are many other battles you'll take part in, just... not this one. Got it?" In a way, she didn't entirely- entirely- mind being left behind. She liked being a leader sometimes.
Saber.
Saber watched all the girls as they hugged, and he put his dagger away. Nah... no trick... The boy watched with interest as the bird took flight, and his eyes lit up at the sound of the news. "ALRIGHT! THOSE BIRDS WON'T KNOW WHAT HIT 'EM! I'M ON I-" He stopped as he was told to stay. "What?! No fair! I could take those birds on!" The curly-haired boy gave her a rebellious glare as she took off. "Well, too bad, I'm-" He was cut off again, this time by Riley. His glare shifted to her. "You can't tell me what to do! I'm going out there and I'm fighting!" The demigod started running off.
Riley and Saber.
"OH NO YOU DON'T!" Instinctively, she tackled the boy, pinning him to the ground. The two of them we're rolling around, shouting insults at each other.
Riley stabbed him with her stormy gaze. "LOOK. I'm not exactly thrilled about staying behind, but I'm doing it. And I have to babysit you of all people, so PLEASE, do me a favor and just stay behind! There are more exciting battles you'll fight in the future. Ugh."
"Then why are you listening to her?! It's not like she's your boss! And I don't NEED a babysitter! I'm sixteen and I've been doing just fine on my own my whole life! I can fight this battle! Just you watch!"
The two teens wrestled in aggravation, until something shiny caught Riley's eye. Well, of course. She had ADHD. That tended to happen. She smirked, and snatched the object out of Saber's pocket and ran. "Got your kunai!" She chirped mischievously.
"Hey! Give that back!" He hissed, chasing after her. "How do you even know what that is?!"
"Because I'm a nerd! Duh!" She giggled to herself, and smiled at her sister. "Kate-kat, catch!" What a tongue-twister right there. She tossed the kunai to the other girl, as it was always smart to play with sharp objects.
((OOC: DON'T LET THE KUNAI HURT HERRRRR kthanx.))

Mary-Kate caught the kunai with ease. She pointed it at the boy with a mischivious grin. Her gray eyes danced with excitement. Her blonde hair tumbled ever so slightly in the breeze. "Now", she said calmly though her expression was as hard as the blade of the weapon she was holding, "You will sit down, shut up, and not say another word about going into any stupid fight. Am I clear?". Then her face softened a little. Hard as in going from diamond to the celestial bronze of her favorite weapon still in bracelet form. "If you want", she said, "I can teach you a few things. We might be able to make a warrior out of you yet". She met his amber eyes and hoped he could see the sincerity in her gaze. It wasn't difficult to tell the boy had trust issues. It was hard not to feel bad for him. After all, he'd seen her in her weakest moment and not said a word that wasn't comforting. Sure, he'd gotten very upset with Riley, and possibly had thought about killing her. But then again, who didn't? She gave another mischivious grin. "That is", she teased, "If you're not scared". There was a playful challenge twinkling in her gray eyes as she waited for the boy to accept.

Saber and Riley.
Saber's amber eyes followed the kunai as Mary-Kate caught it effortlessly. Woah... she's good. He thought, impressed. However, his eyes narrowed. "Will you two stop treating me like a baby?!"
Riley snickered. "You are a baby..."
"What was that?!"
"Nada!~"
He continued fixing his glare on her, but turned back to Mary-Kate at the offer of being trained. "Hmm..." Pfft! I already AM a warrior! What is this girl talking about?! He raised an eyebrow. "Well..." He sounded skeptical. "What could you teach me? And scared? Me? Scared?" He laughed. "Scared of what? I'm not afraid of anyone or anything!" Saber had an arrogant smile, and dashed forward, grabbing his kunai and trying to pull it away from her.

Mary-Kate easily throttled the boy's attempt to get his weapon back and shoved him to the ground. "If you wouldn't be so impatient", she said, eyebrows raised, "I could tell you!". The daughter of Athena clamped her hand even more around the kunai. "My mother's the goddess of war strategy. I could teach you a lot!", she told him simply. She waited for the boy to reply.

Riley and Saber.
"You think you're so- woah." Saber stopped as there was a huge, blinding flash. Riley flinched and closed her eyes, then opened them as everything went dark. "Was that Ari?" She questioned to no one in particular, staring in the direction of the light. Saber followed her gaze. "If Ari can do that, well then she is COOL!" He turned excitedly toward Mary-Kate. "Teach me how to do THAT!"

Mary-Kate nodded. "Probably Ari.". She turned her gray gaze to Saber and rolled her eyes. "You can't do that. You're not a child of Zeus. Zeus= Lighting. Ari= Daughter of Zeus. So Ari can use lighting, understand?". Mary-Kate's bracelet turned into a dagger in her hand and the girl fiddled with it. "I hope she's ok...", she muttered, "That girl never thinks enough to take a shild with her. Bad strategy." Her gray eyes were slightly troubled, but she turned back to Saber. "Do you want to learn how to fight or not?!", she demanded, "Because uyou obviously aren't very good at it yet."

Saber.
"Well too bad! I wanna' use lightning and thunder and all that cool stuff!" He said in defiance. "How do you know I'm not a son of Zeus?! Huh?! And yeah I wanna' learn how to fight! If you're so smart, teach me!"

Mary-Kate regarded Saber with an irritated eyeroll. "Monsters would've been attracted to you a lot earlier. Plus Hera probably would've done something to you. Ya know, how Zeus is her husband and all?". Her eyes were troubled as she gazed out at the horizon. "I'm going to go see what's going in with Ari, guys. Alright?". With that headed toward the Big House, hopiong to find the daughter of Zeus there.
